The actual footwear was nice and fitted as expected. However, on arrival I was concerned as to what condition the boots would be on as the box was broken and crumbled. This is not great either for presentation to the buyer or for me to keep the boots in.

Beautiful Boots, unfortunately there was a manufacturing fault in the leather, so had to return them, but would def recommend, customers service was outstanding. I return and received my refund all within 4 days.

An attempt to purchase a pair of slippers as a Christmas present was not possible on line as it proved impossible for me to use the same email address as my wife. I resorted to a telephone call and whilst the lady was very helpful she had repeated problems with the computer requiring me to be put on hold twice. I have NO complaint about the member of staff but your technology needs improving.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear you were happy with most of the aspects of your order experience. With regards to returns, we offer a free standard UK delivery with no minimum spend. However, we do ask the customer to pay the returns cost. Returns can be taken into a Charles Clinkard store or returned to our Head Office. We do recommend a tracked service, however it is up to the customer to return whichever method is convenient. We do offer a Collect Plus label through the returns section of our website, which is £4.49 for up to 10kg of returns, which can be suitable for those returning multiple or heavier items. Ordered shoes for daughter and a size bigger was delivered. Worked out in the end as that’s the size which was better.

Had to buy online as we no longer have shop in Banbury - so not very convenient !! However the delivery was quick & no postage charge. I would much prefer to try on the choice of shoes available but have to go to Stratford on Avon - my Nearest Clinkards shop.

We do have a couple of stores that are closer to you than Stratford, if you pop your post code into the store finder on our website it will bring these up for you. Frustrating that the lady ordered the wrong sized foot measurer so I had to go back tot he store to take it back... they were even reluctant to do it till they understood if was their fault the order was wrong...

Actually, I tried on the shoes when I received them . Ordered my size 39 , unfortunately the shoes were too tight , and not enough space on the length for toes. I have returned them to you . Hopefully should arrive early this week . Also spoke to a person I. Customer service. Please refund .

Our free standard delivery is up to 5 working days for dispatch, although we do aim to get orders out as soon as possible, we do sometimes have to wait for items to arrive at our Head Office which may take a few days. If you chose to order with us in the future, we do offer faster delivery options such as express delivery which is £2.99 and dispatch is guaranteed within 3 working days. Service helping to fit my babies shoes was great, however I had a promotional code that they wouldn’t accept. Turns out it was for online purchases only. Would have expected them to honour it out of goodwill, especially as retail stores are generally struggling. I don’t know why they would encourage buying online rather than using stores.

Online experience excellent- quick turn round. Unfortunately Boots didn’t fit. ( I have since got a pair that are gorgeous.) I went to CC in Sidmouth - to be greeted (gleefully) Oh we can’t deal with those Boots you bought them on line. It would have been so nice to say ‘ we are really sorry! but oh no - we can’t deal with you!! Customer service - 0 points!!! I only wanted to try on the narrower leg boot so I would know if they were any better fitting. When I said that I would actually buy the narrow boot from CC Sidmouth they miraculously were able to deal with me changing the boots. Confusing??? It’s not about the returns policy but the attitude of CC staff. Not a good experience. I was so excited when I learned of CC opening in Sidmouth ( we are from North Yorkshire) and have always bought from your stores Northallerton, Redcar,Middlesbrough. In fact I have recommended CC to many friends and work colleagues since the opening of Sidmouth but no longer ........ My customer experience was very poor - your merchandise is still wonderful . Maybe you have a staff training issue. Thank you.

Customer service is very good. Sadly I had to return two pairs of shoes due to them being ill fitting. As I live in Guernsey it cost a lot to return these items. Postage was not refunded so I ended up spending nearly £20 on postage alone.

You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. Although we do recommend a tracked service, there are different levels of service and cover you can choose at the Post Office when returning. Thank you for your review. Our free delivery service can take a maximum of 5 working days to be dispatched. With Saturday and Sunday not counting as working days, this then can mean up to one week for delivery, although it is usually much quicker than this. I can see that your order was placed on the 1st October and we dispatched the order on the 2nd October, picked up by Royal Mail on the 3rd. For some reason, it does seem as though Royal Mail have been a little delayed in getting the order to you, I can see that they did try to deliver once and you arranged a second delivery, but we would have expected the order to be with you a little sooner than it was. We do hope that now you have the order, that you are happy with what you have received. If you do place another order in the future, we would be happy to send out DPD if you would prefer.
