I really like the range of styles available at your company. I am however disappointed that I had to pay the cost of returning the shoes for an exchange. I think that it doesn't take into consideration that it is a risk to buy shoes online, because you can't try them on. I am very happy with the service otherwise, but will shop at Rogersons next time as they do pay for the mail, when a customer is making an exchange.

Hello, Thank you for leaving a review. We are happy to hear you are pleased with the general service and styles we have available. With regards to the returns cost, we offer a free standard UK delivery with no minimum spend. However, we do ask the customer to pay the returns cost. Returns can be taken into a Charles Clinkard store or returned to our Head Office. We do recommend a tracked service, however it is up to the customer to return whichever method is convenient. We do offer a Collect Plus label through the returns section of our website, which is £4.49 for up to 10kg of returns, which can be suitable for those returning multiple or heavier items. We appreciate your feedback regarding our returns policy and will ensure your comments are passed over to the relevant department. Looking at your order we can see a replacement pair has been put to one side for you, if these are no longer required please let us know so we can process a refund upon receipt of your return. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes but one pair are far too narrow, not as expected. I am not sure that your wide fit applies as you advertise and now I am having problems trying to send them back and at a cost of nearly £ 5 is not what I would have expected either. I am not sure, therefore, I will order online in future if I have any doubts about them. Sorry that is how I see the situation.

I cisired your shop at Freeport.. Stoke on Trent. (Cnanfed the name but can't remember what to) awful customer service. Had to ask for help and was told that I couldn't have my grandsons feet measured as the measure for his feet had broken.. months ago!! Why has this not been replaced??

I wasn’t actually happy. I received my Ellis sandals in a partially crushed box, the left sandal was fine with nice internal packaging to keep the shape but the right one was grubby with no packaging inside. Obviously had been well tried on by someone else first. I was disappointed overall as I love receiving new shoes but felt let down. I will keep them as can’t be bothered to return but I think your quality control could be better for expensive items.

Told me my order would be delivered on Saturday - the day of my birthday! But in actual fact didn't deliver until the following Monday! Very disappointed !!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are naturally disappointed to hear you were not happy with the delivery of your order. Our free standard delivery is up to 5 working days for dispatch, although we do aim to get orders out as soon as possible, we do sometimes have to wait for items to arrive at our Head Office which may take a few days. Our courier does not deliver on a Saturday unfortunately, so the next working day for delivery would have been the Monday. If you chose to order with us in the future, we do offer faster delivery options such as express delivery which is £2.99 and dispatch is guaranteed within 3 working days. This is the second time I've had to return items that have obviously been worn or rejected returns before. The boots I ordered looked a little different and one was far narrower than the other. I was so disappointed but didn't want to order a second pair if I was going to have the same problem. The delivery service was great and anything I've bought in the shop has always been fantastic. I just question the quality and history of those items ordered online.

The slippers are fine. The delivery driver pushed a card through my door to say he had attempted delivery but there was no answer. He left my parcel inside my dustbin. I was in the room when the card came through the letterbox. At no point had he even tried knocking on my door. Very disappointed with your delivery system.

The courier should have tried to deliver the parcel prior to leaving a card and leaving the parcel in a safe place. You can of course return to a store if one is near to you, however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. Although we do recommend a tracked service, there are different levels of service and cover you can choose at the Post Office when returning. Usually very good customer service but took a pair of shoes back (2nd pair) as first pair really rubbed my heel. Assistant was quite rude, didn't really engage with me, just went through the motions.

The service in store was excellent after I had managed to unravel a mess up with my online order. Firstly it wouldn’t accept my credit card (but did later charge me although no shoes were received) and after managing to order via amazon pay I had no further correspondence. Contacted direct and goods dispatched. Sadly they were the wrong size returned to store to re order, staff couldn’t have been more helpful but when the goods arrived they were the wrong color even though invoice and box said navy so I now have another trip back to store. .

I like rocker shoes and bought many in the past but this latest shoe I bought I was not happy as A -the description was not correct on the web site and B -I found a M&S receipt belong to someone else in the box when I received the shoe which I was not happy at all so I returned the shoe which cost me £4 in postage and I bought another Ricker shoe for £59 at my local store in Cardiff which fit me better with excellent quality Thank you

On occasion we may have a customer who might buy from us 2 sizes of shoes so that they can check for fit and then send one back to us for refund and keep the other for themselves. If this happens and the shoe is unworn then it will go back into stock. We do dispatch on behalf of Debenhams, JDW and Amazon so we are unsure how a Marks and Spencer receipt could have been within the package as we do not have any affiliation with this firm. Quick delivery and kept up to date throughout however CC perhaps needs to consider free returns as many other stores do this as deliveries are charged for; I had to travel an hour to return my goods to store, all in all it’s a rather costly experience. Maybe something to consider in the future as your competitors offer much more for less including cheaper prices for the same shoes! Also the box was rather tattered on delivery, not a major issue but when you spend so much on items you expect a level of quality CC is usually good at.
