“Recent visit Sunday 3rd May my husband purchased a pair of shoes helped enormously by a member of staff she was very patient and helped him with the fittings he has problems following recent surgery in getting shoes on and off …..the new ones are perfect. I also purchased some new shoes with very helpful advice from Sue advising on narrower fitting shoes for my slim feet …very grateful for her assistance .”

“I have complained to Head Office about the delivery company used for delivery of my order, which I never received.. They claimed they had tried to deliver on three occasions. I stayed at home for the whole day on the dates given for delivery, but no one rang my door. My neighbour also was at home and no one rang her door bell. The shoes have now been returned to Charles Clinkard and I am an unhappy Customer who doesnt have her new shoes!!!!!”

Had our Customer Service Team been made aware, we would have happily stepped in and attempted to right this for you. Your order was returned to our warehouse and a full refund was issued, this should now be back on your original payment card. “I've just come home from my local Clinkards shop, in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. I was served by Joshua. The service was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the shoes. And able to offer specific advice. His appearance was smart, important to customers, I think. He was proficient and courteous. Some time ago, he also helped me choose suitable school shoes for a ' difficult ' teenager. Again he had good knowledge of the stock and how appropriate different shoes would be. It's a pleasure to visit Clinkards. You feel comfortable and that your needs are a priority. With staff like Joshua, you can shop in Wetherby, knowing that the service is exemplary. I recommend that you try this shop if you're in need of courtesy, knowledge and care. Prices are fair, a decent range to suit most shoppers; there's a delivery service should you need it. I know from experience that there's no problem returning shoes for another pair or a refund. The staff are always cheerful and ready to oblige. Clinkards is an asset to the town.”

“Was recently in York for stopover and bought shoes from Clinkards. Service was excellent, appreciated the patience as can be difficult to fit and need to try on lots of shoes. Bought one pair instore; another choice not available in my chosen colour but tried on alternative for fit, ordered my choice of colour - no problem at all - delivered to my home address within 4 working days. Perfect.”
