Judith at Charity Job couldn't have been more helpful in setting out all the options and helping us get our job advertised. We're a very small charity with no paid staff so help like that is invaluable. It was all very straightforward and we've had several applications on day one already. We have a small income and Charity Job prices are very competitive.

Unfortunately, we only received 2 applications 2038 views 46 apply. This is perhaps not the medium for us as this is the third time we have used the site with not great results.

Hi Sarah, Thank you taking the time to leave us feedback, it's greatly appreciated! I believe Ishi Jordan, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager has tried to call you on several occasions to discuss your ads performance and has followed up with emails also, but as to date her attempts have been unsuccessful. Ishi is still very keen to speak with you and would greatly appreciate a call back to discuss this. Ishi can be contacted directly on 020 8939 8439. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

The experience has been poor both quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Over all this is very poor value for money.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand Sathya Mohan, your CharityJob Account Manager has been in contact to discuss your ad’s performance. As Sathya advised and due to the current challenging job market - candidate heavy/job short, posting your mid-senior vacancy on our Basic job package doesn’t always give it the prominence and visibility required compared to some of our more superior job packages. I believe Sam also advised you of the option to extend your ad for free and on how to optimise its performance moving forward. Should you choose to advertise with us again, please don’t hesitate to contact Sathya first to ensure the best possible advice is obtained before making your ad live. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

we had 3 applications in total and only one came from your website. we are a charity with limited funds so this seems to be a poor return on investment. The other advert we placed with you resulted in no applications coming through.

Hi Liz, Thank you taking the time to leave us feedback, it's greatly appreciated! I understand Chris Sparkes, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager has been in contact to discuss your recent ad's performance and the potential reasons for its underperformance, and I’m pleased to hear was able to offer a resolution for this. Moving forward and as our Account Managers like to work collaboratively with their clients, I believe you will contact Chris first before advertising with us again to ensure the best possible advice is obtained regarding optimising its performance. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

I think the Charity Job site is easy to use and the staff are nice, but we are having trouble getting our jobs in front of the right people.

Hi Ceinwen, Thank you taking the time to leave us feedback, it's greatly appreciated! I believe Jules Keene has tried to call you on several occasions to discuss your ads performance, but as her attempts were unsuccessful, she has emailed you instead. As your ad stats were reasonably healthy but it would appear you did not reach the right candidates, Jules is very keen to speak with you to discuss this. At a convenient time for you , please contact Jules directly on 020 8939 8437. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Dear Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it's greatly appreciated! As your vacancy received just under 2,000 views and 14 clicks on apply, It’s very disappointing to hear that you did not successfully recruit through CharityJob. Chris Sparkes, your CharityJob Account Manager has unsuccessfully tried to contact you on several occasions to discuss the potential reasons for this and has now followed up with an email including his direct contact details. Chris would welcome the opportunity to speak with you, so please contact him at your earliest convenience. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

In spite of the adviser contacting me to tell me how to improve the advert and talking up the price, it ended up with the job description actually being hard to find. Overall we had a very low number of responses

Dear Rae, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand Sathya Mohan, your CharityJob Account Manager has been in touch to discuss your ads performance and what is currently a very challenging job market across all sectors. As Sathya advised and as your ad was only live for approximately 2 weeks, you are currently able to extend your ad for free should you wish to potentially garner more applications. And whilst you have not received the number of applications you were hoping for via CharityJob, I believe you have shortlisted 2 from those received. And by giving tips on proactively keeping good candidates engaged after they apply, Sathya was also able to address your concerns re candidates not showing up for interview. We wish you every success in appointing a candidate! Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

I emailed about a group advertising on your platform that was wound up in the high Court and exposed as a cult by the bbc. I was referred back to this group! Utterly terrifying to think this is considered acceptable

Dear Jon, I am aware you contacted us yesterday with concerns regarding an organisation you believed to be currently advertising with us, so I just wanted to clarify that said organisation has not advertised any vacancies with us since 2021. In our reply to you, you were given the link of said organisations contact page but were not simply referred to them to raise your concerns. It is usual practice to advise a candidate to raise their concerns or complaint directly with the organisation to obtain resolution or failing that, to contact the Charity Commission if deemed necessary. Instead, you were given a very clear explanation as to why we could not remove this organisation from our database. However, on reflection based on what can be seen in the public domain, we have blocked the recruiters account to ensure they will need to contact us should they wish to advertise with us again. Reply given: As CharityJob is a job board currently carrying over 3,000 paid & 2,600 volunteer vacancies, we simply cannot police the 20,000+ charities and not-for-profit organisations that choose to advertise their vacancies on our website, nor are we are able to investigate individual claims against recruiters. This is very clearly covered in our T&C’s for both Recruiters and Candidates, as you can see in section 3, points 4 & 5 below. I do also have to point out that this organisation has not breached our general terms and conditions regarding posting jobs, nor do they need to be a registered charity to advertise roles on our job board. This is not unusual, NFP organisations not registered with the Charity Commission are freely allowed to seek funding and people. 3. About our Service and our role 1. Our service is a platform for use via our website at www.charityjob.co.uk (Service), bringing together individuals seeking employment (Candidates) and recruitment professionals and employers (Recruiters) and advertisers (Advertisers), all primarily active in the charity sector. 2. Recruiters are able to post current vacancies of either paid jobs or volunteer roles that are searchable by Candidates to allow them to apply for such positions (Jobs). 3. Advertisers are able to post advertisements promoting their brand and services they provide, such as training courses (Adverts). 4. Our role is to provide the platform facilitating these connections, not to oversee them, and we are not party to any subsequent employment contract between Candidates and Recruiters or services contracts between Advertisers and Users. 5. We do not operate a vetting procedure nor do we run background checks and therefore we cannot take responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of information that our Users provide about themselves. I would also add that it is extremely rare to receive a complaint regarding charities or NFP organisations advertising on our platform, and we have received none regarding …………….. until the receipt of your email. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager
