Dear Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, it’s greatly appreciated. I understand Chris Sparkes, your CharityJob Account Manager has now been in touch with you to confirm the job title change you requested via email was actioned immediately upon the receipt of your email and a voicemail message left confirming this. Please accept my apologies that a confirmation email advising you of this was also not sent. Moving forward, I believe you now have Chris’ direct contact details, and that Chris has assured you all future contact will be followed up via email. Dear Cara, Thank you taking the time to leave us feedback, it's greatly appreciated! It's very disappointing to hear that despite your ad receiving many thousands of views, multiple clicks on apply and several applications, none where of the calibre you had expected. I understand Jules Keene, your CharityJob Account Manager has reached out to you both by telephone and email to profusely apologise for her oversight in replying to your email. I would like to assure you this a very rare occurrence, but fully understand the frustration and inconvenience this may have caused to you. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to Jules at your earliest convenience via the contact details stated in her email. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

As a small charity with limited resources we had to pay UPFRONT for our job advertisement. After 30 days we have had 3 responses all of which were totally inappropriate. From a similar, much cheaper, site we had 69 responses to the same advert, over the same period 10 of which were appropriate and led to our employing a new manager. I asked if Charity Jobs would refund all or part of our fees and was told that no refund would be given. Not a great service, I would never use this site again.

Dear Jay, Your feedback has been received and we are disappointed that we did not manage to fully address your concerns despite our swift and thorough response to your initial email. You emailed us on Saturday 21st October 23 at 10.26am and on Monday 23rd October at 10.13am we responded promptly, bringing to your attention the statement that the advertiser had in the application process that clearly states that due to staff shortages they’re not able to get back to the candidates applying. We have attached an image of the Ad with the statement in view. CharityJob is an online job board and does not act a recruitment agency and is not involved in the recruitment process. Whilst we actively encourage recruiters to get back to candidates and will continue in our efforts to do so, it is entirely at the recruiter’s discretion. You were advised to contact the recruiter directly for update/feedback on your application as all candidates are. You were also provided with the recruiter’s direct contact information which was obtained from their website along with their social media links to help you further. Hopefully this response now clarifies and clears your concerns. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

We paid £200 (discounted rate) to post a job for 2 weeks and didn't get a single application. In that same period on Indeed, we got 10 applications, 4 of which are proceeding to interview. This was a very disappointing experience. We will not be using Charity Job again.

Dear Jo, Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand your CharityJob Account Manager, Jack Golding has been in contact with you and as discussed, he did previously reach out to you and left messages for you on both the 11th and 13th September to discuss your ad but unfortunately, missed you on both occasions. As agreed with Jack, your ad was reactivated free of charge until 20th September, ahead of your 21st September interviews scheduled for this role and several changes were made to ensure its reach in targeting more relevant candidates. I do hope the interviews went well and you have now managed to recruit through CharityJob. Jack also relayed that you have previously had great experiences with CharityJob as a candidate and that in your experience as a recruiter this time around you feel the site is well laid out and user friendly. This is fantastic to hear! Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer service Manager

Dear Mohammed, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand your account Manager, Mathew Warrington has now been in contact and has extended the ad for free and advised on how to optimise your ad to ensure more applications. I’m pleased to hear you have amended your application method to the one most favoured by candidates and which results in twice as many applications as other methods. The very best of luck with your recruitment! Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Applicants could not apply due to the set up not allowing it. A supposed corrected version had a mis-spelling in it - and the wording was not what had been asked for. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience.

Dear Ian, We are very sorry to hear of the recent issues you had with your job listing. I believe as soon as contact was made with your account manager a temporary fix was implemented to ensure candidates could submit applications and the application wording updated once we were advised of the text you would like used. Please except our sincere apologies for the misspelling of a word used in the application details due to the transposing of 2 letters, which I understand was also immediately corrected by your account manager once brought to his attention. I’m very pleased to hear that you were in contact with your account manager the day after leaving your review to thank him for resolving the issues. As your ad is not due to expire until the 21st August, I will ask Chris Sparkes, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager to give you a follow up call shortly afterwards to discuss its overall performance. We wish you the very best of luck with your recruitment for this role! Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Dear Helena, Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand Sathya Mohan, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager was in contact with you in the first few weeks of your ad being live and did discuss different options to optimise its performance, so it’s very disappointing to hear that despite this and receiving over 2500 views, you were still unable to recruit through us. As Sathya has been unable to contact you further via telephone, I understand he has emailed you to advise potential factors which may have affected its performance such as the contractual employment terms and because of the female only requirement for this role, both of which will have significantly narrowed down the candidate pool in this very candidate-driven market . Please feel free to contact Sathya directly on 020 8939 8439 if you would like to discuss this further. The very best of luck with your future recruitment for this role. Dear Mohammed, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! It’s disappointing to hear that you did not receive the calibre of candidate applications you were hoping for, and I understand your CharityJob Account Manager, Jack Golding has been in contact with you to discuss the potential reasons for this. As Jack advised in his email, it remains a very candidate-driven job market and many recruiters across all sectors are currently struggling to recruit. As I have been advised that you are potentially looking to re-advertise this role with us, Jack would welcome the opportunity to speak with you to advise on how to optimise your ads performance moving forward to ensure you attract the relevant candidates you are looking for and are able to successfully recruit second time around. If you would like to speak with Jack directly, please contact him on 020 8481 0655. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Dear Gordon, Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! Ishi Jordan, your assigned CharityJob Account Manager have reached out on several occasions to discuss your ads performance with you, but as her attempts have been unsuccessful, I believe she has now followed up with an email. As your ad received over 1,770 views and 23 clicks on apply, Ishi would still welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to discuss why these great stats did not translate into submitted applications. As you do have the option to extend the ad for free and Ishi has some great advice on improving its performance to garner more applications should you wish to make it live again, please contact Ishi directly on 020 8939 8439 at your earliest opportunity. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

I am getting much better results with the same advert posted elsewhere for less cost. I have only received one application on a £500 spend and they were not suitable. As a charity that is a lot of money wasted.

Dear Matthew, Thank you for taking the time to leave out feedback, it’s greatly appreciated. It is very disappointing to hear that you only received 2 applications in total as the views were very good at just under 1,300 and considering the ad was only live for a very short period - 13 days compared to the usual life cycle of 30 days. As the job market remains difficult across all sectors - job heavy/candidate short, I believe Mathew has tried unsuccessfully to reach out on several occasions to discuss your ads performance and offer advice on how to optimise it moving forward should you wish to extend your ad for free. Mathew would still welcome the opportunity to speak with you and can be contacted directly on 020 8939 8433. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand Sathya Mohan, your CharityJob Account Manager has been in contact to discuss your ad’s performance. As Sathya advised and due to the current challenging job market - candidate heavy/job short, posting your mid-senior vacancy on our Basic job package doesn’t always give it the prominence and visibility required compared to some of our more superior job packages. I believe Sam also advised you of the option to extend your ad for free and on how to optimise its performance moving forward. Should you choose to advertise with us again, please don’t hesitate to contact Sathya first to ensure the best possible advice is obtained before making your ad live. Dear Jon, I am aware you contacted us yesterday with concerns regarding an organisation you believed to be currently advertising with us, so I just wanted to clarify that said organisation has not advertised any vacancies with us since 2021. In our reply to you, you were given the link of said organisations contact page but were not simply referred to them to raise your concerns. It is usual practice to advise a candidate to raise their concerns or complaint directly with the organisation to obtain resolution or failing that, to contact the Charity Commission if deemed necessary. Instead, you were given a very clear explanation as to why we could not remove this organisation from our database. However, on reflection based on what can be seen in the public domain, we have blocked the recruiters account to ensure they will need to contact us should they wish to advertise with us again. Reply given: As CharityJob is a job board currently carrying over 3,000 paid & 2,600 volunteer vacancies, we simply cannot police the 20,000+ charities and not-for-profit organisations that choose to advertise their vacancies on our website, nor are we are able to investigate individual claims against recruiters. This is very clearly covered in our T&C’s for both Recruiters and Candidates, as you can see in section 3, points 4 & 5 below. I do also have to point out that this organisation has not breached our general terms and conditions regarding posting jobs, nor do they need to be a registered charity to advertise roles on our job board. This is not unusual, NFP organisations not registered with the Charity Commission are freely allowed to seek funding and people. 3. About our Service and our role 1. Our service is a platform for use via our website at www.charityjob.co.uk (Service), bringing together individuals seeking employment (Candidates) and recruitment professionals and employers (Recruiters) and advertisers (Advertisers), all primarily active in the charity sector. 2. Recruiters are able to post current vacancies of either paid jobs or volunteer roles that are searchable by Candidates to allow them to apply for such positions (Jobs). 3. Advertisers are able to post advertisements promoting their brand and services they provide, such as training courses (Adverts). 4. Our role is to provide the platform facilitating these connections, not to oversee them, and we are not party to any subsequent employment contract between Candidates and Recruiters or services contracts between Advertisers and Users. 5. We do not operate a vetting procedure nor do we run background checks and therefore we cannot take responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of information that our Users provide about themselves. I would also add that it is extremely rare to receive a complaint regarding charities or NFP organisations advertising on our platform, and we have received none regarding …………….. until the receipt of your email. Best wishes, Beverley Devine Customer Service Manager

Dear Joy, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I have been advised Judith Jones; your assigned CharityJob Account Manager has now been in contact to review your ads performance. I understand Judith has extended the ad for you and advised and amended the application method for you to the preferred method of choice by candidates. I believe Judith also advised of the benefits of advertising vacancies on our Branded package as you have previously done compared to the Basic currently selected. Should you choose to advertise with us again and ad recommended by Judith, please contact Judith first to receive the best possible advice on how to optimise its performance. Best wishes,

Dear Jean, Thank you for taking the time to email us your feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! I understand Sathya Mohan, your CharityJob Account Manager has now been in contact with your HR colleague Amanda to discuss your recent ads performance. As it is still very much a candidate driven job market, I believe Sam has advised Amanda on the benefits of using alternative job packages compared to the Basic package selected which are specifically designed to give that all important extra visibility/prominence on our website. Also, as you only advertised your vacancy for 2 weeks and have not utilised the full 30 days of advertising paid for; you are able to extend the ad for free until the 23/03 should you wish to do so. As every recruiter working with CharityJob is assigned their own Account Manager and as each Account Manager prides themselves on working collaboratively with their clients, should you wish to advertise with us again, I understand you will contact Sathya first to ensure he tailors a market sensitive campaign for you to meet your recruitment needs.
