Kerry our sales rep was excellent and allowed us time to view and make our decision, he was very informative and helpful. However in the 24 hours between viewing and coming to collect, the passenger side front running lamp had been smashed and a dent put in the bodywork behind passenger rear door. We are now over a week since collecting the car and we have heard nothing of the promised call back from Keith at after sales. I can’t see how it can take this long to source a new running light !! Good showroom, good rep, good car but so far after sales are very very poor.

Initially impressed with the service but this changed and the level of professionalism decreased with having to return to the showroom twice to sign papers that should have been priority. Flow of information was poor regarding estimated date for delivery etc. Promises made for the car being available were never fulfilled. The presentation of the car left a lot to be desired with a number of glaring issues that should have been observed & rectified did not happen. Car has now to be returned to allow for all the noted issues to be closed out as necessary. This car should never have left the showroom with the amount of defects I noted (worn wipers, broken electric mirror control, scratched paintwork to name a few). Not impressed is an understatement!!!

My appointment to pick my car up was 6pm on the 28th of February. We weren’t seen until around 6:45, after going over all my finance etc, the girl went to go pull the car around for me, was gone for about 10 minutes, comes back and tells us the car is still being valeted,at 7:15pm. Wasn’t quite cleaned up to standards either with the edges of the inner windows still unclean, and I also now have a stain on the back seat from where it had been left soaking wet after the valet. First of all we noticed the car had 2 missing centre caps on 2 wheels, the carpets in the passenger footwell was coming away, and the mirror in the passenger sun visor is smashed. No big deal, cheap enough to replace/fix, but that’s not the point. The next day, I hear a high pitched squealing coming from the brakes, this was a sticky calliper. 2 days later, I started hearing a clunking noise from the front end. While I was driving back home, a part of the car broke off whilst I was driving. This turned out to be a broken spring, which had it broken in a different place, could potentially have hit my wheel and given me a blowout. Thankfully it didn’t, but it could’ve been way worse. My dad phoned the CarStore on Monday the 4th March, told them exactly what was wrong with the car so they could order parts, and I got booked in at 10am on Friday the 8th, was promised the car would be done on the same day as I needed the car that weekend and they couldn’t offer a courtesy car until the following week I believe. During that week I also discovered the drivers side window switch kept getting stuck when I was trying to put my window up, not the most convenient. Shortly after I dropped the car off on the 8th, I got a text promising I’d hear from them by 4pm AT THE VERY LATEST. It gets to a bit after half 4, and I still haven’t heard anything. Then my dad gets a call from them, basically all they’d done that day was look at the car, see it has a broken spring, and ordered the part which would be there the following day. Yes, we know it has a broken spring, we told you that 4 days previous so the parts could be ordered! As I needed the car that weekend, I had to take it back home and bring it back in on Monday the 11th. On that Monday, they replaced the spring, the brake pads, and decided to put a new tyre on the front as they weren’t happy with it.. should that not have been picked up on when the car was being MOT’d and serviced?.. When I picked the car up, I was told they’d order a new sun visor to replace the one with the smashed mirror, and they’d get someone to come along and fit it for me, and have a look at the drivers side window switch at the same time. 2 weeks pass, and I’ve heard nothing from them regarding the sun visor, so I try phoning them multiple times the next week, each time I’m told “we’ll get someone to give you a phone back!” Yep, heard that before. After chasing them up about it, I finally get through to someone telling me it’s on a 7-10 day delivery and it’ll be here mid-week the following week, which was the week beginning the 1st of April. At this point, I’ve had the car for a month and I’m still dealing with getting bits fixed. During this week, I started hearing a knocking noise with my brakes, so went up to the garage on Wednesday the 3rd April, the woman I spoke to told me to bring it back in at 10am on Saturday the 6th, and it won’t take long to have someone look at it. When I get there on the Saturday, they have absolutely no record of my appointment, and I was left sitting there for two hours with multiple members of staff walking past me, seeing me getting more and more agitated, and it took almost a full 2 hours before anybody stopped to ask if I was ok and if I’d like a tea or coffee. 2 hours! GREAT customer service right there. What they did in this time was take the brakes apart, grease them up and tighten them up as the noise I was hearing was them rattling about. While I was there I inquired again about the sun visor, I’m told they’ll give me a phone on Monday the 8th when they discover the whereabouts of the visor. Guess who still hasn’t heard from them? A few days pass with seemingly no problems with the brakes, until.. the dreaded knocking noise returns! Aaand this is where we currently are, no available appointments until the 3rd of May, just over 6 weeks since I got the car, still no word on the sun visor, still a sticky window switch, and still brakes that are rattling around, most likely because they haven’t used genuine Ford brake pads

I had a great experience at peter vardy dundee! Mohammed was very helpful and even stayed behind for me while the shop was supposed to be closed, stress free and i was home with my new car within a few days!

Can not thank the team at car store Dundee enough they bent over backwards trying to get me the car I wanted after my car was written off. They turned a stressful time in to a more enjoyable time. I would recomend carstore Dundee 100% to anyone looking for a car. The flowers I received for guest factor was a lovely touch I might have even shed a tear! Thank you car store Dundee!!

Really happy with overall service and dealings iv had at Peter Vardy Dundee.. happy with how everything was explained to me! Not to happy about coming all the way from Ballater to originally be looking at the white corsa Nurburgring vxr you guys had in, didn’t even get the chance to view it in person either, even asked for an appointment to come see the car.. when I got to Dundee I was told the car had been already sold and off to Glasgow an hour before arrival..

I am happy with the overall service received from the staff at Dundee car store. Richie who was my sales advisor was helpful during the process of purchasing a car. I did receive a number of unnecessary phone calls from other members of staff which led to some confusion as I was in dialogue with Richie throughout, however everyone was always polite and helpful. Thanks to Richie for his help and providing me with a very good deal for a car that I am over the moon with. The video clip of the car before my initial visit was a nice touch and very personal. I also appreciate the competitive price offered for my previous car as an exchange and it was evident to see the staff at Peter Vardy Dundee were going over and above to secure my business.

Hi our experience has not been the best we were sold a Ford kuga that had to be brought down from Aberdeen which took over a week to come down nobody from Dundee bothered to call us we always had to call to see if it was in when we viewed the car we noticed that the windscreen was chipped in the centre also the rear parcel shelf was faulty and paintwork inside the door which we were told all wood be sorted by Monday ready for collection I had my doughts but Monday came and went no phone call to say it was ready or not ready but we got a call on Tuesday it would be ready on Wednesday which we could not make so Thursday 6pm we had a great lady do the hand over she was really helpful can't praise her highly enough about your only employee I will we drove the car home when I noticed that none of the faults we were told would be we went back to the store only to be told that nobody from the service side was there and somebody would call in the morning how can a car that has a stone chip in the middle of the windscreen be missed on your 100+ check that we kept getting told about when we buying the car is beyond me and the other 2 faults but I have a very bad feeling about this car

I came to the car store knowing exactly what I wanted. I explained my requirements and wAs shown a vehicle which ticked all my boxes. I was impressed by the sales advisor who I found to be knowledgeable and helpful making the whole process a pleasant experience.

Felt very welcome on arrival at Dundee Carstore. Staff very friendly. Kids were made to feel welcome also which made for a relaxing experience. Our salesman James was extremely helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. Receiving callbacks takes a bit of time but I guess that’s understandable with the amount of customers and sales they get through the doors everyday.
