“I thought the car Store experience was good up until the Handover Team took over.
I expected that the Salesman would be in attendance and that someone would go over
the important details on instrumentation and controls prior to driving the car.
This would have avoided me returning the next day to be told that the car specification
did not include retractable wing mirrors which surprised me considering the car was not
a Base model specification. Handover should be improved to match the rest of the experience.
I was regrettably left with the feeling that once the car has been paid for the company ceases
to care for the Customer.”

“I never actually visited the Dundee store - all done by telephone and visit to Glasgow Store. Dundee Sales Advisor - BM - kept in constant touch with me with calls and video throughout the process.
Good car but a shame it was poorly presented when it got to Glasgow particularly the engine compartment but it also needed an external wash and internal vacuum after the journey from Dundee.”

“Mark took us out for test drives on 2 cars. Since the car had to suit 3 drivers, one very tall, we expected it would be difficult to find a suitable vehicle. To my surprise, the Vauxhall Astra suited us all, a car well known to Mark. We didn't see the car we bought until we collected it, and then we experienced a few issues, all of which were resolved. This end of the car purchase needs attention, and it wasn't just because the car wasn't the one we had driven.”
“CarStore Dundee overall was a positive experience. We were greeted promptly and introduced to the manager and then salesman.
The process was straight forward as we had identified the car we liked online in advance and were cash buyers.
We were shown the car on the forecourt, however, the disappointing thing was that the car was very untidy internally and initially it did not start as the battery was flat. This was slightly off putting.
We returned to the showroom to discuss the car, trade in options and finance. We decided to trade my current car in and paid cash for the car we viewed. We did not require finance. During this process we were attend to by staff, however, there was some delay in the salesman locating the keys for the car and an iPad to film the car.
All paperwork was explained clearly and dealt with efficiently. The handover of the car was very smooth and we are happy with the purchase. The only thing we noticed on closer inspection when we got home was that there were some areas of the car internally that were not cleaned properly as part of the valet (hot chocolate marks around the steering wheel and small amount of ketchup on internal roof light).”
“Picked up my car and had silver paint on my tyres, dent in the wet panel, burnt in polish on my door rubbers, chip in the windscreen, under guard broken underneath. This was all pointed out when I was buying the car and told don’t worry it will all be prepared to the highest standards when we pick it up at the big reveal. Which never happened. Also for some reason my parcel shelf does not lift up when I open the boot which did when I first saw the car and now has a chip in the windscreen which also wasn’t there when we first viewed the car. All in all very disappointed with the final presentation.
Have now been contacted again and they are willing to sort this out for me, willing to give them a second chance and see how it goes from there.”
“Although I am happy with my new car the process to get there was quite frustrating. Prices weren’t properly discussed which ended up in more money being required. The team did resolve this and I did not end up having to pay more however it made the process difficult. During this time of negotiation a member of the customer service desk at Carstore Dundee was quite rude on the phone which was unnecessary. Also the car was not fully prepared for my collection as the car mats were not in the car. This was not shared with me and took another phone call from myself to enquire about there whereabouts. This will mean I will need to travel into Dundee again to collect them and I have not been given an expected date of collection. Usually my experience with Peter Vardy is faultless and although I believe the team were helpful I also believe that had the information been shared fully at the initial stage my decision to buy may have been different.”
“Fine in general, plenty of people on hand if need be, show room was nice and my kid was entertained. Managers were over keen to introduce themselves tho, nice people but to keen, the salesman was doing fine without them. Mohammed was a good lad and happy to get me the right car”
“Pleasant and friendly service. Car was ready in a few days, We had asked for a couple of chips in the paint to be touched up at point of sale. They were untouched when we went to pick up the car. However, when we pointed it out, it was remedied quickly.”
“I truly hate car shopping, for me this is something I put off as long as possible. However Carstore Dundee may have changed my mind. Once I got past the slightly strange concept of being a "guest" rater than a "customer" and meeting my "adviser" rather than "salesman" everything went really well from there on. Richie (my adviser) was truly excellent, he listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly what I wanted, he didn't try and sell me anything extra or make me feel like a lower form of life because I had no knowledge or interest in the technical aspects of the car. In a relatively short time I was able to purchase the car that met all of my needs and was within the price frame that suited me. I have had a few small technical problems with the car which hopefully should be resolved in the same efficient manner by the technical team as I have experienced from the sales team”
