We have owned our Bibo for approx. 5 years now & would to be honest lost without it. Unfortunately the quality of drinking water in the UK is generally poor so have clean & nice tasting water on tap is great. Over the years we have also found the customer back up excellent. My only criticism I can think of is the cost of the replacement filters & UV,s

Hi Derek, really glad to hear you love your BIBO! Sorry to hear you feel the replacement filters are expensive. We try to keep the cost down as much as possible and the filters work out at just 20p per day!

I'm not quite sure the BiBo you supplied was new. It came with the fitting kit missing and the water tastes as if the filter needs changing. Compared to my previous filter which was cold only it is not as good. The first time I used the cold outlet it had quite a musty taste.. I bought the BiBo because I wanted a plumbed hot water supply. I previously used a one-cup dispenser. Both myself (physical) and my wife (dementia) are severely disabled and a kettle is dangerous as my wife regularly left the lid insecure. I am disappointed the output is so small. We use large cups and the output needs either the output button pressing twice or holding down until the water flows. In both cases we have to stop the water flow when the cup is full. Often we finish with half a cup of hot water and the top-up is cold or we stop the water too early/too late. Having said the above we still like the machine! It is very close to what we were looking for when we bought it and not having to fill it physically is a bonus. I would not hesitate in recommending the machine to others. Brian Markin.

Hi Brian, thank you for your feedback. I can assure you, all the BIBO's we send out are new. Sometimes the water taste can take a short while to settle down when the machine is new as water has not passed through the components before. We do have our BIBO Classic which offers a higher output. You can also set a measured quantity with the Classic which sounds like it could be useful to you. I will get in touch with you regarding this. Best regards.

I am really enjoying having a Bibo at home. As a family we are drinking a lot more water than we did before because it tastes much better (in tea and plain!). We use Bibo for cooking water too and have seen a real improvement in the taste. I thought about buying a Bibo for over a year before I took the plunge and I am really happy I did, I feel very luck to have delicious drinking water, at whatever temperature, whenever I need it.

This is the second water machine we have purchased from BIBO. The service was once again excellent and super efficient and the product we love already and that hasn't changed. If I had the need for one I would have one at home. Anyone who is at home a lot or with a medium sized family or who just wants instant access to chilled water and instant hot water should get one. This is a gadget that actually helps in life and will pay for itself quite quickly against the cost of boiling a kettle each time and so businesses should definitely buy one. I can't recommend enough. Ian Dickinson - Business Manager, First College.

Absolutely delighted with our Bibo machine. Saves boiling a kettle and waiting for the water to boil. Instant hot and cold water at a press of a button. You can also programme the machine to fill your mug or glass with hot or cold water and stop automatically when it's filled. No need to wait around. The Bibo Classic has so many functions and also looks very classy. I would recommend the Bibo to everyone. Saves time and energy

Almost two years down the line the BIBO continues to provide instantaneous hot and cold water. Despite living in a very hard water area, I have only had to descale the tank twice, a much simpler process since the redesign of the cleaning tank. The only thing I would question is the increase in annual service when all around there are price cuts and zero or negative inflation

Excellent service from all at Bibo - they are all so helpful and nothing is too much trouble! Love our Bibo Classic water dispenser - so lovely to enjoy drinks that taste good and not of chlorine! More economical to dispense just what you need and take chilled water out with me instead of buying expensive bottled water - the Bibo bottle is BPA free too! Have carried out one filter change - just followed the instructions and found it easy to do. Couldn't do without our Bibo now!

Hi Angela, glad to hear you love your BIBO!!

Purchased my BIBO Classic around a year ago, and I must say it is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time! Because everybody in our household has a physical disability, we find it impossible to use a standard kettle. For the 6 years prior to owning the BIBO, I rented a bottled water cooler but it was always a pain to change the bottles, the heating elements never made the water hot enough, and the cold water didn't seem to be as cold as it could be. Teas and coffees were just not nice at all, the hot water would not dissolve gravy granules, and I was always wary of plumbed-in options, as I felt that our tap water was of poor quality. Water coolers that had decent filtration, UV treatment, and could provide good hot and cold water temperatures were in excess of £1500. Enter BIBO. It serves all our needs, and provides brilliant hot and cold water, and requires very little maintenance. So, why did I knock off one star? 1) Water pressure affects the machine badly. I have had to adjust ours by very slowly turning the blue isolation tap on the plastic pipe (supplied) down to about 1/4 open. If the tap is fully open, the water gushes through too fast and splashes out. This can be resolved by fitting a pressure regulator - which I found by looking through water cooler websites, but one is not included. I intend to buy and fit one to solve this problem for good. 2) The manufacturer guarantee is 1 year. This did make me wonder if the machine would last, as I felt that the extended warranty seemed to be quite expensive. I made the decision not to extend the warranty, and decided that if the machine fails now that it is just over a year old that I would not replace it, and will look at purchasing something else. In this era, I feel that they should be offering at least a 3 year warranty as standard - to reinforce the fact that it is a reliable machine and give some confidence in the fact that it won't break down easily. That said, I feel these are minor things - and I still love my BIBO.

Hi John, thanks for your comprehensive review & we are delighted your BIBO has proven helpful for you at home. We have many customers with disabilities as well as many older customers who are nervous of handling a heavy & very hot kettle or saucepan. The BIBO Classic does indeed rely on water pressure to drive the water through the hot & cold tanks instead of employing a pump or a gravity fed system both of which have limitations. Occasionally if the water pressure is high this can result in an overly fast flow rate. The BIBO incorporates a pressure reducing valve (PRV) with is there to protect it against pressure surges but will not ‘adjust’ the pressure & flow rate. You’ve done the right thing in adjusting the flow with the shut off valve. We constantly review our warranty policy & may indeed extend our standard warranty in the future.
