Extremely poor customer service - being told it would be weeks to deal with the issue. Quick to take money though even ww can't use the equipment

I posted a negative customer service review about being told I would be contacted in a few weeks.I now understand that was an old posting due to supply problems and a very quick response has ensured that my installation has been arranged at a date I asked for and days not weeks away.Thank you Kayleigh

I give 1 star for customer service even though the product is 5 star.Ive just paid £890 for a new machine and been told they will be “in touch in a few weeks” when they can install!I queried this and have not had a response

This machine has been a complete nightmare. This is my second unit. The first failed within 2 days. The replacement has now developed faults after just 12 weeks — constantly resetting itself and flooding the drip tray with hot water when dispensing. I arranged to return it, but was told it would be repaired — on a 12-week-old “flagship” machine. That alone is unacceptable. What happened next is far more serious. While boxing the machine, I had no idea it was holding a build-up of boiling hot water internally. As I lifted it, hot water poured out from the bottom of the machine and onto my leg, causing burns. This is not just a faulty appliance — this is a serious safety issue. Bibo have clearly been made aware of ongoing faults with these machines, yet there has been no communication to customers about potential risks. Instead, the product continues to be heavily marketed. Customers need to be aware: this machine can retain and unexpectedly release hot water. I will now be escalating this formally due to the injury caused. Tony

We had a BIBO classic for a few years and were very happy with it. We then upgraded to the new NOVA. What a mistake that was! There were issues with the software which had obviously not been fully tested. We had the software updated but then had the unit changed as it was still not working correctly. The biggest problem we had was that all drinks had a scum on the top of them which lined the cups. It was awful. We eventually returned the Nova for a full refund and have never had scum since.

Great when it works! Leaked all over the kitchen work top Monday 23 March the machine was bought and fitted from Bibo November 2025 . Spoke to Bibo on 23 March told it would be 5 working days for an engineer to come and sort the issue out. So after spending just under £900. less than 5 months ago on a product I cannot use I am still waiting for it to be repaired Sent an email Thursday 26 March as I had not heard anything to receive a phone call Friday saying the engineer may be in the area Monday unfortunately I am not available Monday but Tuesday would be good again informed the engineer would be in touch still nothing. So it will be a week tomorrow that I haven’t been using the hot water on the £900 machine purchased less than 5 months ago!

I am very sorry to hear that you have been experiencing an issue with your new BIBO, which has meant you have been unable to use the hot water function for a short while. I can see that the fault was originally logged with us on 23rd March, and the first repair date offered was the 30th March, which is within our 5 working day lead time for repair visits. I understand that this date was not suitable for you, and our engineer attended yesterday instead, as requested. I do hope that the issues have now been resolved, however, please do reach out to our Customer Care Team if there is anything further we can assist you with.

We've just upgraded from the Bibo Classic, the Nova is a great bit of kit and the presets are a nice touch. The customer service is 1st class and I would highly recommend this product and Bibo as a company 🙂

Our Bibo has been a trusty kitchen sidekick for years! We couldn’t live without the cold water (tap water just doesn’t cut it any more) and boiling water for tea and cooking. The team are super helpful and changing filters etc is really straightforward. An essential for a busy home ❤️

Have Bibo on rental always one step ahead when it comes to servicing and replacing filters. The engineer Sam is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Good bit of kit and has never let us down.

Since I got BIBO NOVA, it has become a unique device for me, making it easier to fill with cold water with a display. The display is an excellent screen that shows the water level during filling. It is possible to use the Green Tea function to obtain the ideal temperature of 70 degrees. Fantastic appearance and richly equipped. Very easy to use. I recommend it!

Absolutely revolutionised our lives at home, we love our BIBO Nova. I can highly recommend this machine for all, especially for us as a family! As a mum of 3 and always needing to fill baby bottles, it is amazing that I can save the exact temperature and amount of water on our new Nova machine, which makes our lives a million times easier. It also puts my mind at ease that my family are drinking highly filtered water. Thank you so much team BIBO.

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. I paid over £900 for a water filtration system with installation scheduled for early December. After taking payment, I was told the product was suddenly out of stock and would need to be reordered – which is concerning for a company that claims to manufacture and specialise exclusively in these products. I was then informed it could take months to deliver. Strangely, the unit arrived just before January, but without any instructions and without installation. Since then, installation appointments have been repeatedly scheduled and cancelled, often without any notice. On more than one occasion, I only discovered the appointment had been cancelled because I chased them myself. The latest excuse was that the engineer was unavailable due to injury, pushing installation back by another two weeks. While things happen, the lack of communication is unacceptable. I have taken unpaid time off work for appointments that never happened, resulting in financial loss on my side. Despite their website claiming transparency and reliability, my experience has been the opposite. I now have an expensive machine sitting unused, no clear installation date, and very little confidence that it will ever be installed. Had I known this in advance, I would not have ordered and would have stayed with my previous provider, who installed promptly and without any issues. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

You certainly should have received contact the day prior to your appointment to be advised of the delay. I am very sorry that you were not contacted. I can see that your order was placed with us on 3rd December, and you took delivery of the unit on the 18th December. I understand that the first installation date provided was the 5th January, however, you had advised our team that this date was not suitable, and therefore it was changed to 9th December. ​As per my colleague's previous email, the installation appointment has now been moved to 19th December, Our team have been in touch with you directly today to discuss compensation for the inconvenience caused. Please accept my full apologies for the disappointment caused. Please do feel free to reach out if there is anything further we can help you with.

Utter waist of money. This is my second machine and it fails all the time. I don't even bother fitting the side on the machine anymore because it fails so often. Tried calling, no answer. I spent good money on this machine, might as well have got something from Temu.

No problems with the machine does what it says , but trying to get hold of Bibo customer service is impossible. We've left messages, web contact us email, voicemail and still no response.

The Bibo Nova is a great product, really easy to use and a reliable source of thoroughly filtered hot and cold water that can be delivered at different temperatures to suit your needs. Ours was installed by Sam who, despite it being quite late in the day and his last call, gave us a full intro to the unit and what it does, happily answered questions and fitted it exactly where we asked him to place it with great care and as minimal disruption as possible. Thanks Sam and thanks Bibo!

Had my new Bibo Nova installed yesterday on 17th sep .Wow, very impressed ,amazing high tech machine, even better then expected, love the motion sensor and presets!👏 😀 Also purchased the sparkling water machine which the kids love and ordered a separate flouride filter also. Presets and screen are amazing and water tastes great. No more buying litres of bottled water ! If you're hesitating about buying it, don't, so impressed with it!

I ordered the BIBO Nova on 29th August and was initially pleased when they honoured a 5% discount after a miscommunication regarding a competitor's offer — credit where it’s due. However, things quickly went downhill. There was no follow-up on my order, no updates about delivery, and no information available on their website about this new product. I had several questions which went unanswered for days. After waiting over a week, I noticed the promised discount still hadn’t been applied, and there was complete silence from their side. This lack of communication made me lose confidence in their aftercare service. If it’s this hard to get a reply before delivery, I worry how long any support or issue resolution would take after receiving the product. As a result, I cancelled my order. Even then, I was told to cancel my PayPal dispute rather than them just issuing a refund — which would have been the easiest step to take. I'm now stuck waiting for PayPal to resolve it, because I'm still not refunded. I understand they may be a small team, but this was just very poor customer service all around. Responses were incredibly slow, and the experience doesn’t match the glowing reviews I’d seen beforehand. For a £739.99 purchase, this level of service is unacceptable. Buyers beware — my experience was frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend ordering unless you're prepared for delays, lack of support, and poor communication.
