I have for many years now very happy. I live in Cyprus and I bought it from a local company but now they are closed so I can't have any support. I can still get filters and uv lamp but now I get an error message on cold water...uv lamp error . I changed the lamp but still I get the same error and water stops flow . I have to press 4 times until I get a glass of water if someone can help I would appreciate it very much. Anyway is a great value for money. I would buy a new 1 if I could find. Thanks

Hi there, please send us an email at customers@bibowater.co.uk and we can help with this!

We have had our Bibo for 3 years and it has been good but as soon as something goes wrong that is when they show their true colours. We have not had a working machine now for nearly two weeks. They will not arrange a time with us that suits us both just phones and tells us when an engineer is in the area and expect us to fit in with them. We looked to cancel our agreement but if we cancel now they say we have to pay all payments to the end of the year. I would suggest everyone reads the contract well before you sign as they do not point this out and there is nothing in the contract that says they have a responsibility to make sure customer has a working machine. Never had this with Virgin and I am very disappointed with the customer services we have received

Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you are not entirely satisfied with the recent service received. All of our engineer visits are scheduled and managed by our technical partners, so I can only apologise that the repair visit was not easily arranged with you. With regards to the terms of our rental agreement, these are laid out in the rental agreement document & terms and conditions that are sent to and signed by our customers prior to the installation of the machine. We will certainly look into the way in which this information is shared with our customers to make sure this is clear to avoid any future disappointment.

Took out contract with Bibo on the understanding that Engineers would come out to service the machine. So was somewhat surprised when I received a service kit through the post. Regardless, I forged ahead & with the aid of some YouTube vids attempted to replace the water filter - how difficult could it be? Apparently, with my machine, extremely! I spent the best part of Saturday afternoon taking out & re-inserting the damn thing every which way. All for nothing since the water dispenser was not having any of it & kept insisting there was not a filter inserted. Since this happened on the Saturday of a Bank Holiday, I was unable to use the machine for several days. On the Tuesday I called them up first thing, only to have a receptionist try to tell me that the problem was I hadn’t inserted it correctly - seriously??!!! On requesting a call out from an Engineer, I was then informed - to add insult to injury - that if the fault was found to be user error, I would be charged! I am also currently waiting for a call back to let me know how much longer I will have to wait for an Engineer to visit me, in spite of the fact I literally live in the locality of the business. All in all, although I love my machine, am not impressed by the customer service!

Hi there, thanks so much for your feedback. I am so sorry if there was a misunderstanding regarding which contract you took out with us. We do have a more comprehensive contract where we do look after the maintenance and servicing for you. If you want to move onto this plan do just let us know and we can get this sorted for you. We have a few tips and tricks our super experienced customer service team can help with over the phone if you are struggling to get your BIBO filter inserted, however, I can see you called in first thing this morning and our engineer is visiting you tomorrow to help you get this resolved. :)

I bought a Bibo classic when they were first released and 18 months ago bought a new one to replace it after 6 or 7 years. When the company started up the customer service was excellent and I recommended Bibo to countless friends and relatives. Now, I feel somewhat differently due to a deterioration in the quality of the product and the standard of customer service. My second Bibo classic has had a number of problems, most recently a leaking cold water tank. As it was over 12 months old I had to pay almost 80 UKP for an engineer to call, had to take the machine for a repair which will cost me more money and estimated 2-3 days to return my machine (no replacement left). Now almost 2 weeks without machine and not heard anything. The telephone call to request a repair was pleasant enough but as I was having to pay a significant cost for the engineer visit and more for the repair so it should be. No longer a big fan of Bibo and now looking at alternatives.

What a brilliant machine we are so pleased with our BiBO everything tastes so much better. We have found that you don’t have to shout over it like you do with a kettle as it’s so quiet we live in a heavy limescale area and we have been though so many kettles as limescale just destroys them. We decided to rent a machine to try the experience and that we don’t have to worry about buying the filters at £25 a month I know that if we got any issues due to limescale we have peace of mind. Even our dog has taken to drinking more water so it must be fresh 🐶 👍🏻😁 We settled on the orange colour and we love it stands proud of place in our kitchen. The fella who came to fit her was polite and pleasant went though everything so impressed and ordering it was so simple once we made up our minds which took longer to do 😂 She is now part of our family that BiBO is no longer a gadget or a machine she is family just like Alexa we would be lost without her 😁👍🏻

I've had my Bibo Classic for just over four years but it has recently given some trouble and I have just found water pouring from somewhere under the unit. I made a call to arrange for a repair but was given an appointment two weeks hence. I do not believe this is acceptable but we customers are a captive market for expensive spares for filters, bulbs and descaling chemicals and any subsequent maintenance or repairs. So caveat emptor. Having said that, I did like it but should it fail again, I would decommission it and bring back my Bosch variable temperature controlled kettle and my trusty filter jug. I'm afraid it is a case of not bye, bye kettle but go buy kettle.

We've been loyal customers of Bibo for 4 years. We had an issue with the firmware from day one where I identified a bug with the energy saving functionality. It took a long time to resolve mainly due to covid. However, it was rectified by replacing the internal circuit board. Unfortunately, the history of the filter and UV change was lost which skewed the date / notification when I should replace the UV bulb. It turns out the next maintenance pack that included as UV is not needed. I have asked if they can remove this from the pack given it will never be used - I got a flat no, I "have" to pay for the bulb regardless of if its needed or not, and I got no response to my statement of the faulty firmware causing the mix up with replacement notifications. So, after 4 years, it seems they are happy for me to go to their competition for what is a relatively (to them) a simple issue to resolve - but Kayleigh - Head of Customer Service is not interested on helping us out with this. Fine, we'll check out Bibo alternatives. Loyalty is clearly not valued at Bibo.

Many thanks for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the recent service provided when enquiring about removing an item from your annual subscription delivery. Regrettably, as the UV Lamp is part of an annual subscription, we are unable to remove this on just 1 occasion, and amend the price. We are very sorry that on this occasion we have not been able to honour the request.

Bibowater installed pipework leaking in cupboards 2 hours after installation, had to turn off main water supply to prevent further water damage to kitchen cupboards as the leak was coming from the joint bibo installed. phoned company told they will get back to me shortly, waited hour no reply phoned again 17.15 company closed (website says 17.30), diverted to an out of hours line, who can only record the issue and arrange a call back 3 days later.... yes they expected me and the family to go three days without washing, flushing toilet, drinking water, tea, etc. Aftersales and warranty service (no existant), that's all I had was "we can't do anything except get someone to contact u in three days", again that's three days without water in the house. Totally unacceptable. As this is an experienced example of their aftersales and warranty service, moving forward I have NO confidence in thier intention or ability in honouring thier aftersales or warranty commitment. Therefore it saddens me to write this review and to inform bibo that I will be returning the product. Coupled to this I now have to call out a plumber to repair the leakage bibo created. Update.. (13th February 2023)) Following the weekend and after several calls between myself and Bibo, they agreed that the level of service i recieved was not up to thier usual standard and to reimburse the cost of the plumber I employed to correct the issue, and after discussing the issue have revised thier instalation procedure. As identified previously I am more than happy with the product (Even after 5 weeks of use), the initial installation issues were resolved on the Monday after installation. I was /am still disappointed with thier initial response, but this appears to have been a cumulation of several things coming together at the same time, which is unlikely to repeat itself. Therefore I am now happy to recommend BIBO product and service's.

The BIBO itself is a great help and make life easy. Minor gripe was that the BIBO was advertised at a price of £499 I recall, BUT I had to by a compulsory installation kit that was not included in the £499 advertised cost, bit naughty that I could not buy for the actual advertised cost of £499, good job I am not trading standards lol. My feathers were ruffed further by BIBO. Gripe 2, BIBO have attached a continual revenue stream to their sold product and quote that their units has a two year warranty ONLY if you buy cartridge kit annually otherwise the warranty is void, this tactic is another naughty scheme to keep the money rolling in as you have custom filters that only fit your product and so BIBO has a monopoly on their customer who have no choice but to buy filter from BIBO, but stay tuned on this one. I am an engineer of some talent and I know after the warranty I will be cancelling the DD and will be making my own filters rather than pay BIBO best part of £100 / year. I know the filter is nothing special probably a 10 or 5 micron filter, I reckon I can easily decap the used filter and replace the filter inside not bother at all, this will cost much less that the BIBO filter kit. The BIBO is a great machine and we like it a lot, but not over keen on the shenanigans of BIBO the company though, so I aim to help my fellow BIBO’ers save money, I will be doing a YouTube video on how they can save cost by adding new filter material to the old filters. Best Regards

Had Bibo now for over 6 years has worked very well. Just changing the uv light again after ordering it which came very quickly. The old light was black at the bottom and obviously 'gone' We had a. Message saying uv light malfunction, changed it for the new light and same message is still there. Have inserted twice to BiBo's recommended fitting instruction, still same message. Have unplugged from mains waited 5 minutes still same message when plugged in. Hot water works fine but we have no cold water. At all, here hoping BeBo can rectify quickly as spare and replacements are expensive especially when they don't rectify the problem. Have looked on the web site and no further instructions on how to get it fixed. Phone call coming up on Monday morning hoping to get it sorted and give them 5 stars. Andy L

The machine is good but customer service not so much. Also be aware everything they sell are in packs meaning if you want to get a UV lamp you can't. You need to buy the whole pack that have filters etc that you already subscribed to. So basically if your UV lamp broke earlier that the yearly subscription, you have additional 2 filters. Or buy a kettle since you can't dispense water without UV lamp.

I have been a Customer for a few years, never had an issue with my machine, a situation has arisen that means that I need to return my machine. Customer service has been shocking, incorrect information has been given to me, and emails to me have incorrect and misleading information.

Fantastic product, great customer service. We were previously with VirginPure and changing over to Bibo was the best decision we’ve ever made. Bibo’s customer service respond really quickly and they go above and beyond to sort out any issues with anything at all. Virginpure’s customer service is non existent! The Bibo machine - the cold water is much colder than virgin and the hot water is much hotter than virgin. The Bibo machine is much easier to use and the graphics on the screen give much clearer indications of say what temperature the water is, when it wants a new UV or filter etc whereas with virginpure you have to try and decipher error codes (which aren’t listed in the manual!) oh and virgins customer services (when you can get through!!) don’t even know what their own error codes mean!! I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a water machine to get a Bibo (if you want a constant headache, an inferior machine and no customer service by all means go with VirginPure but don’t say I didn’t warn you!!)

There are lots of reviews here about how great the Bibo works. I agree, it’s a fantastic piece of kit. But what if it’s faulty when it first arrives. Well, I had such a scenario. I have to say at this stage the service from the company has been absolutely exemplary and some other companies should follow their lead in customer service. When my Bibo arrived it was leaking water excessively. On examination I discovered there was a component broken off its position inside one of the side covers. It seems it was damaged enroute from The UK to Ireland as the company have assured me they rigorously test every unit immediately before it leaves their warehouse. As I am very familiar with replacing components in this type of device I suggested to the company they send me the replacement component rather than sending the whole unit back to the UK for a replacement. They done that and after fitting the component it showed up a fault with the UV lamp. Again, on my suggestion they sent me a replacement UV lamp. After fitting the UV lamp it still had another fault that was not visible to the naked eye, looked like a fault with the motherboard / control unit. It was jointly decided between myself and the company at this stage that the best thing to do was to replace the unit altogether as it was unclear if there might even be more damage. It seems one of the transport companies done a lot more damage than was originally thought. All through this process the company responded very positively to my emails and other correspondence. I would send them an email and get a reply in a very timely manner. My replacement Bibo is now up and running and works brilliantly. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. They have been brilliant throughout this whole process even though it was no fault of theirs that one of the transport companies damaged the unit before it got to me. I cannot praise the different staff in Bibo Water enough, all of them have been very pleasant and extremely helpful to deal with.

We have a couple of gripes, the hot water could do with being hotter, it's definitely not kettle hot and the cold water has a funny taste, this could be down to newness? Any advice would be good 👍

A disaster, despite my reservations about buying this product because of the disasters time spent with three competition Virgin water! Loose inside. Water poured out all over the place because according to Bibo....'thingsay Have come loose during transport, despite accurate factory checks!!! Easy to fix. Unscrew. Reattach, mallarchy! My issue was ELECTROCUTION while filling the machine as instructed. This was ignored and completely dismissed with the stuck record response of how it's checked and fixed! Reassurances about all my worries while deciding to order this product, and then DISASTER! NOT EXACTLY A CONFIDENT START TO, 'WE ARE MUCH MORE SUPERIOR TO VIRGIN WATER/STRAUSS! So that's my update! How dissapointing and predictable!! And they wouldn't allowme to post photos of the mess in the kitchen. So I had to redo the review without photos!

We previously owned a virgin pure machine and decided after many years/moving home to refresh and this time give BIBO a test due to appearance. What can I say, don’t judge a book by its cover. We are now at the point of 3 months in and truly regretting our purchase. The water temp barely better than tap despite being at the lowest setting. I feel the need to leave this review to warn others to sadly look elsewhere.
