“I made a very small purchase - a meter box latch. The product was absolutely fine and no complaints. However the cost was doubled by postage a packing. It was clear why when it arrived as rather than popping it in a small envelope with a 70p first class stamp it was sent in a large box, most of the weight of which was a catalogue. Also annoying that it was sent UPS as that meant it was not left when they tried to deliver when I was out. Having said that I knew what I was paying when I bought it. Mostly irritated that delivery was delayed because a £4.35 + VAT purchase (plus £4.95 + VAT postage) could not just be left in the porch, or if in senbsible packing be put through the letterbox.”

“Dreadful business. Misleading sales pitch, tie you up into a 3 year contract with extortionate exit fees. Heavy handed, big business tactics, not at all flexible, the worst of the worst. Avoid at all cost. Never again.”

Mr Harvey, We are very confused by your review. Given your comments we suspect you have muddled BES Utilities (Lancashire) with BES in Birmingham. We do NOT sell 3 year contracts with exit fees as we are not an energy provider but a merchant. Please note that these companies are completely separate organisations with similar names. We have checked our database and you do not appear as a customer of BES (Plumbing, heating and gas supplies) so we would appreciate it if you could remove your posted review as it's misleading for our customers. “My order for some reason was split into two parts, one part arrived with me on time the other part of the order for some reason got sent to Northampton. BES were very apologetic and it all turned up early the next day. Everything was present and correct. I think it was a courier issue and not BES themselves.”

“I recently received a small order from BES, which was required a few days later. I found I had received one elbow that was not as I had ordered, so I wrote to them, via web form. I got a very polite and apologetic phone call from them, and following our chat I had the correct elbow delivered the next day! Wonderful service. All one could hope for. Thank you. Peter.”
