Placed an order with BES recently and it didn’t go quite to plan. My delivery was delayed by four days, and when it finally turned up it had been reboxed by DPD because the original packaging wasn’t up to the job. By that point the box had been damaged and a few small items were missing. I phoned BES and was told to email photos, which I did straight away, but I’ve not had any response since. It’s only about a tenner’s worth of parts, but it’s still money I’ve lost and the lack of follow-up isn’t great. Shame really, because when BES get it right they’re usually spot on. This time though, the experience fell well short.

Thank you for using BES. However, we are sorry that we have let you down on this occasion. We have regular meeting with our couriers so that we can discuss performance. Clearly your package has been damaged by DPD hence the delay and DPD re-boxing. Thankfully instances like this are very rare indicated by our overall 4.7/5 review total score. Apologies. BES

I ordered 10 1/2" BSP fittings which arrived on time. It would have been nice to get them delivered to the door rather than across the garage path. BES did't close the openend bag and DPD managed to both crush the parcel open en sling it into the woodstore (we were home, no ring) from where they dispersed. Thanks.

Love everything from the range of products to the pricing. Love the fact I have an actual brochure that I can keep in the van. Don't like the fact you don't notify when a product is out of stock or being delivered separately, I've been waiting for a week for one item.

Also please note we do not guarantee 'next day' but our delivery stats are currently 94% next day fulfilment for the majority of UK mainland (exceptions as per our web) We were very pleased that you rated your purchased product positively. Good stocks. You can find things here that you can't seem to find readily anywhere else. Docking two stars because they insist on using DPD who are by far the worst courier in rural Devon. However they did think to leave my package at the local collection point rather than take it back to the depot.

At the moment 3* Ordered new gauge,pipe and adapter for my candle making for Xmas presents. Unfortunately the set is made up by yourselves and one of the pieces is unavailable until late December😂 I have not cancelled my order as the quality looks good and the price is excellent. I hope to provide 5* in the future. Disappointed but prepared to wait.

I am a regular customer not very good service when collecting goods at the trade counter many times i hva been waiting up to hours also no washroom facilities. Need to have vending machines access to hot beverage.

Regarding our 'collection point' we have made the area as comfortable as possible with the physical space that we have on site. However, we take on board your comments and we will further explore your suggestions. company is ok but delivery courier DPD were shocking. Refused to deliver item unless I opened front door to take photo-no thanks. Left message saying I was out and couldn't deliver item. phoned BES and asked for refund on item - not their fault just let down by usuless courier service

A photograph of the successfully delivered parcel has become standard practice for most couriers to help prevent disputes between customers, businesses and couriers (when a signature is not required). On the whole this process works for most people. Of course we will process your refund once the goods are returned, given your courier was unable to deliver on this occasion. Regards, BES

Ordered 4 items, 2 arrived but 2 were to follow, nothing mentioned on order had to phone to find out the items won’t be shipped for another 2 weeks. Not BES usual standard. Not really acceptable.

The product was good and the firm dispatched the goods on time. However the courier that they chose to use let them down. Delivery was due on Tuesday but was not delivered until late afternoon on Wednesday.

The company have a impressive range of products and the delivery is super fast. However, if you only want something costing 50 pence with no urgency , The delivery cost is still £4.95 plus vat. A shame really , I will look elsewhere until such time as I need other items to make thedelivery charge worth while.

After consulting our customers the overwhelming response was that they needed tracking on their deliveries with excellent communications throughout the delivery process. The people on helpline are great...and the prices...pity I have to talk to customer service so much because the website is prehistoric. I have trade friends who won't buy bes because of this

Only made a few orders with BES and was very satisfied with the products and service until my last order. Completed ordr on Sunday evening and should have had Tuesday delivery, didnt arrive. when it hadn't arrived by late Wednesday I sent them an e-mail to find out what had happened. An hour later received emails from them confirming despatch. Sorted. But there was acknolagement that I'd e-mailed them and no apology for delays. Poor customer service. Very dissapointed.

It's beyond me how an expensive item item like a gas analyser was delivered to me in inadequate packaging which cause the analyser probe to penetrate, and stick out of, the manufacturer's box. The analyser itself was in it's own cardboard carton (like a display carton), within the big box, and this was also burst. Who knows if the brown tape on the Kane box was original or not. Who knows what the small piece of anti-static bubblewrap was for, as it was loose in the box and not protecting the analyser. It seems unusual that Kane would send out a product, to BES, in such poor packaging. Let's hope it works and continues to work because that's kinda important to me.

great delivery etc , but your prices are not as cheap as expected , regards your competitors/ maybe stick to the sales and offers? , how do i get the promotion discounts ? delivery bob n which counts a lot , just wish i was not on nights ,,,,,,
