“Paid £1200 for a cable crimper to be delivered next day pre 10am. Got power off in the building and no crimper turned up, phoned to be told its on back order. Had they said it was on back order I would of gone else where. Im now £1200 out of pocket and have to wait 3 days for a refund while having to source another. Terrible service and wont order from them again. Happy enough to take £15 for a pre 10.30 delivery knowing full well it wont turn up”

“The worst thing you guys did was move over to a new accounting system. Why fix something that was not broken???? We order a hell of a lot from you and we can no longer see on our online account what has been ordered for certain projects and what has not. Invoices are also not coming through making us underpay you. We order far too much to keep track of everything. It has been a complete nightmare !!!!!!! We have to keep phoning for invoices that are on the statement but have not been received. Just dont trust the process anymore. Will have to look at buying locally till such time you have fixed the accounting system. What a pity as BES used to be so good and painless to buy from. We have placed 4 orders in September and the screenshot attached is the only thing showing on our account.”

“I've used BES several times in the past few months for various plumbing items and I have to give them and the courier, DPD, 10 out of 10. I order one day and the goods have always arrived in less than 24 hours, on Standard delivery. Quite often, BES carry items that my local plumbing merchant doesn't and, without exception so far, all the items I've received are very good quality at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work BES.”

“Won’t work after being fitted a few years as it won’t come off, even after wd40 spray applied, avoid this lock, it will save you £30 and the cost of a new tap!”

“Bought Belfast sink waste. Took 4 days to arrive, DPD marked as delivered on day 1 then took 2 additional days to actually deliver it. Finally got product. The plastic backnut didn't allow for it to tighten properly as would just skip threads as it was too soft. Needs to be brass. What a nightmare, clearly never been used by people who actually plumb.”

Hi J Fraser, we are pleased that your delivery arrived yesterday. However, your feedback re. our service is disappointing to read. During our internal checks we noted that you requested delivery for Sat. 12th July. Therefore we are sorry that your order arrived to the Scottish Isles slightly later than expected. Unfortunately this can sometimes occur when delivering to the far corners of the UK (as per BES delivery t&c's) Apologies once again. “Purchased and fitted a gas catering hose P/N 24430 however on testing I found the hose to be leaking,I fitted a new dormant 1/2 * 1M hose from my Van stock at an additional cost to myself to solve the problem. I Phoned BES and spoke with Julie who advised me that I can return the gas hose for a refund but that any coincidental losses are not covered. As a commercial gas engineer I can’t say that to a customer and just walk away. I have subsequently returned two gas hoses made by the same company because the quality is poor and I can’t take the risk of a gas leak. P/N 24426. GASM8.”

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that p/n 24426 is tested and approved by BSI under kitemark license scheme. As soon as you reported that the gas hose was leaking we offered a replacement without quibble. However, you had already replaced the hose. As such we offered a refund upon receipt of the leaking hose. BES T&C's clearly state that BES are not liable for any additional costs/losses regarding a contribution of your time. Regards, BES
