The flowers were ok, but disappointed with the customer service. I ordered a flower vase/pot which came broken. It leaked water. Since then I have emailed and tried to call to get a refund but have had no response what's so ever. Won't be using this company again. Very disappointed considering the amount charged for the Mother's Day flowers gift set.

The flowers were lovely but unfortunately did not last. The roses died after 4 days. I tried twice to email Appleyard about this using the link on the website, but on both occasions the email bounced back to me.

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day, the bouquet delivered was not what I had ordered. I have emailed customer services twice since then, 2 weeks later and I am still waiting on a response. Although very beautiful flowers, poor customer service.

I ordered 2 Mother's Day gifts from Appleyard and both were sub-standard. The first was a Rosebud bouquet. I opted for the "chic" size at a price of £31. Mother in law called to say it was very pretty. Father in law made another "apologetic" call to my husband to say that he thought we ought to know the truth. The leaves were covered in white spot mould and the roses were on their last legs. I emailed customer service who responded asking for pictures which I immediately sent. Only to hear nothing back. A week went by and I called Customer Service. Waited on hold on a premium rate number for a minimum of 15 minutes 3 times and each time was cut off. So I turned to Twitter where a helpful "Katie" from Appleyard quickly resolved the issue by giving a refund. The 2nd was a White Double Orchid. My mum was initially delighted when it arrived. She said it was well packaged and beautiful. I decided to make a surprise visit to her and was horrified to see one flower remaining. She said they'd all dropped off within a few days and she was planning to go and get another Orchid so that I didn't know what had happened! Again I turned immediately to Katie via Twitter who issued a refund. Whilst I have my money back, it's disappointing that both gifts were so poor and my recipients were embarrassed that I had to find out. For a business that's got great brands recommending them and amazing images on their website, the end result does not live up to the expectations that creates. I wonder if they've bitten off more than they can chew? Perhaps they should stop giving money off offers to attract more customers and be content with providing superior quality for customers that are prepared to pay a little more for a promise of excellence.

The flowers received were substandard and died very quickly. The lillies never flowered and remained closed. I have emailed the customer service team to complain about the quality and have not even received an acknowledgement, will definitely not be using this company again

Sadly two lots of flowers ordered for Mother's Day arrived looking nothing like the pictures and in a very poor condition two roses in one bunch were snapped off and many of the flowers that should have been in display were missing. Appleyard slow to respond to my email but have agreed to a full refund.

The flowers I revived for my mum on mothers day were half dead and did not look appealing to the eye. I sent and email and complained to be told I can have some replacement flowers because they understood my anger. I have not revived an email back saying when these flowers will be here or even that these flowers are being sent out. Disgraceful.

Hi I ordered from you recently and was left very disappointed. You forgot to include my message so my mother had no idea who the flowers were from and what they were for. I tried to resolve this by messaging you via Twitter/social media and heard no response. Overall very bad customer service and experience. Will not be ordering from you again. As the UK's 'premier luxury flower service' I most certainly expected more. Jessica

Having paid for a sixty pound display,I was disappointed to be told by mum that the Daisy's died after one day and the roses only lasted until four days. When I tried to complain last weekend I was unable to get my email through. Then on Monday I was told to resend to customer services and now on Thursday I have had no response !!!!! Very disappointed in the service and product. The flowers did not look anything like the photo on your website. Be assured I will be informing Aviva insurance the company that is offering your products and let them know of my dissatisfaction . Thank you A Tyreman andrewtyreman@yahoo.com

The flowers were expensive so I was hoping for a premium quality product, what i actually got was flowers that were already browning/shrivelling when they arrived and a completely dead bunch of flowers by day 8. When there are so many other florists available I will definitely not be using this company again, very disappointed.

Although the bouquet looked beautiful the flowers only lasted a couple of days. Don't know if the long transit via the PO had anything to do with it

After ordering the macaroon flowers I was extremely disappointed the roses died within two days, before the lillies even opened. I emailed the company to tell them and didn't even get a response, will not be ordering again.

The flowers I bought didn't look like the picture because I rechecked the picture once they arrived - they arrived a smaller bunch than I expected and for what I paid, and as it was for Mother's day I was a bit disappointed.

I sent a message a week or so ago to say I'd been disappointed with the flowers (roses in particular were limp/dying much too quickly - like 2 days - despite watering and trimming) - don't know if it was received.

Delivery was brilliant and the flowers looked beautiful when they arrived. Started to die and droop after little over a day, emailed but got not reply. Unfortunate outcome after such a first impression. Also, overpriced for the size of the bunches, extra large bunch was quite disappointing.

The flowers selected were not cheap and so we expected something lovely. On arrival they looked great but they had faded badly within a few days and had completely gone over within a week. Very disappointing. Will not use Applegate again as I can get better quality at a lower price elsewhere.
