“I have paid for my gearbox but still haven’t received it from A+C Auto salvage (uk) LTD and been given several dates of delivery and nothing has arrived going to wait 1 more day before contacting my bank to claim payment back for gearbox payment that I paid very disappointing.”

“I cannot fault the 1st Choice platform, but I can fault the suppliers on the platform. Dealing with MGS AUTOMOTIVE LTD was an unpleasant experience. Initially, I was told the part was in the UK, then after challenging this statement, they admitted the part was coming from Spain, but do not be concerned as "we have a fasttrack courier who can get it into the country in 3 days". I agreed and paid for the part. After 2 weeks (10 working days) not hearing from them, I enquired about the delivery of the part, only to be told it has been "stuck in customs". After a further week, I enquired again, only to be told the part arrived damaged and therefore they cannot supply the part and I will be refunded. The only highlight of this experience was that I was refunded, the 1-star review is for the unpleasant experience and the waste of my time and leaving me without a car for 3 weeks due to their incompetence.”

“I was sent the wrong window regulator (£72) by a 1st choice supplier. As my garage could not fit it (after removing the broken part) I have £79 extra cost to put the window back again as I needed the car. Although I got a refund for the 1st choice part, I could not get any compensation from them for the garage cost....”
“Needed to source a drivers door window regulator for my Toyota Avensis SE Hatchback 1.8 Year 2000.
None available from toyota Uk or Japan. Searched via !st Choice Spares, received one reply which ultimately proved to be the only 100% match, the supplier provided photo's of the item so I could check before committing to the purchase. Although the reviews for the supplier were mixed, I paid for the part, it arrived and matched the photo's, fitted the regulator and it is working perfectly.
Although the original mechanism failed because of a broken plastic widget, the whole regulator has to be replaced. Not cheap but keeps my 25 year Toyota on the road, so for me a result and happy to have used 1st Choice Spares as it was a very rare item.”
“I was looking for a replacement part and received 2 quotes one of which was on the high side of reasonable the other was almost double the first and looked as though they'd just thought of a number. So a bit of a curates egg some good stuff but also some bad.”

You need, however, to delete Scott Yard. I have used them recently and found them to be dishonest
The same happened a few years ago with a Fiat Punto gearbox.

“Part was ordered and paid for but subsequently cancelled same day due to incorrect part advertised by dismantlers. However, the cost was still deducted from my bank. After numerous requests for a refund and no response from 1st choice 12 days ago. My bank is now chasing refund.
I would not use 1st choice again.. beware. !!”
