“Very poor service. The day the package was supposed to arrive, I had to leave due to an emergency, and when it was delivered I was not at home. Instead of making a second try, or leaving it somewhere I could pick it up, they just returned it to the sender without any further notice. Does it seems normal? I am trying by all means to avoid it but there is no way. I just hope they are kind enough to refund me the money.”

Once an international parcel reaches its destination country, delivery attempts and local collection arrangements are handled by the local delivery partner. Unfortunately, we do not have control over whether they make a further delivery attempt or return the parcel to us after an unsuccessful delivery. If the parcel is returned to us, we will of course process the appropriate refund once it has been received back at our warehouse. “Last Thursday around 1.15pm I was sitting in my front room when I noticed a courier van pulling up in front of my house. I immediately got up to head for the door to answer the expected knock as the courier passed by the window. Instead of the expected knock I was surprised to hear a thud as the courier deposited a box on my porch. I watched as he passed the window again heading back to his van. I opened the door and called to him as walked back down my driveway "Excuse me!' He stopped and turned towards me, whereupon I asked him 'Why didn't you knock?'. There was no response, so I continued 'You just dumped this package in the middle of my porch in full view of passers by, any one of whom might steal it.' He turned and walked back to his van, so I called after him 'It's not good enough! I'll be reporting this to your employer!' The box of course contained my most recent Zatu Games order. To my mind there are three possibie explanations for his behaviour: 1. This is his company's policy. 2. This is personal SOP. 3. This was a one-off exception due to reasons unknown, but perhaps a perception of limited time on the day. Alternatively, he might have heard my TV, confirming that I was home, and thought that justified not knocking. Of course it was pure luck that I happened to be in the lounge room; I could just have easily been in another room; e.g making lunch or a cup of tea, or have gone to the toilet. Had that been the case I would have had no idea that a parcel had been delivered. If you've had reports of orders not arriving from this part of South Australia it might be due to thefts caused by this slack attitude to delivery procedure. Assuming that the problem isn't with the company's delivery policy I certainly don't want this young man's employment to be affected by this incident, but if Zatu is going to continue to contract with this courier service I suggest that its management needs to remind its couriers of correct delivery protocols”
