The book is great for random encounters. A friend and I have vol 1 & 2 between us and I made up a random one shot based on a bear. Between them we used a kings courtroom, an owl bear cave, a woodland path ambush and a nobless house. Just scan the back and find the right map for whatever just happened, it's super quick and a really good size. I just used it for the Wave Echo Cave Nez fight and modified with a sharpy they are generic enough to fit loads of situations. Sadly, the books are massive and not sturdy enought for their size .It's good quality card but at this size they need a hardcover to travel. Tom and Sally got dog now so I have to go to there house to play and its not enjoying the journey. One other negative, and this is subjective, but I think the art work is hit and miss. Some of it looks like it was cut and paste on publisher while some of the textures are amazing... Gotta go my kids jumped on me
