“order placed 11/12 and had estimated date of delivery to Greece was between 15 and 19 of January. The only option for delivery was with a collaboration between Royal mail and ELTA (the greek post office). i paid 14 euro for the delivery and 12,45 euro for the vat in order not to wait in customs since they use ioss. The order arrived at the local ELTA on the 2nd of January and they were not able to deliver it to our address and we had to go and wait two hours cause they are the post office they deliver only envelops not parcels and on top of that they asked me 7 euro extra for handling the parcel at the customs facilities in the airport. the products value was 40 euro and the games were orderd as christmas present for my nephew. the customer care didn't care at all and they didn't offer a refund of the transportation costs which was 14 euro saying they are not responsible for transportation but responsible is Royal mail. They have a collaboration with Royal mail and them with ELTA not me. A seller's responsibility does not stop when they send the order but when we receive the parcel (if there are no other problems with the product itself). in the email i received from Royal mail it said your parcel with Zatu fullfilment has been delivered. If the delay was 1-3 days it wouldn't be a problem. But we chose Zatu for the delivery time. These products were availiable also in a very famous Marketplace in UK with 20euro delivery but estimated time of delivery was on the 23rd of December. so we could pay 60 euros total instead of 80 and get them at least on time for Christmas or even New Year. Also with this famous marketplace your parcel is being delivered with courier and not just the postal office and in case there is even 1 day delay they immidiatelly refund you the shipping cost. After that i saw some people writting about difficulties in delivery and refunds in some facebook pages of Greece for boardgames. We decided that we won't order from them again only in the rare case that the products are not availiable elsewhere and we do not care about the delivery date.”

We do understand how frustrating delays and unexpected charges can be with international deliveries. To clarify, all parcels entering a foreign country are required to pass through customs and unfortunately there is no way for any retailer to bypass this process. While IOSS allows VAT to be collected at checkout (which you paid correctly with us) and avoids import duties on eligible orders, it does not prevent foreign customs authorities or local postal services from applying their own handling or administration fees. The €7 fee you mention is a handling charge imposed by the local customs/postal authority, and as outlined in our Terms & Conditions, these fees are outside of our control and are not something we are able to refund. With regard to delivery times, the dates shown at checkout are always estimates, and while we do our best to meet them as closely as possible, delays can occur once parcels leave the UK, particularly with international orders where customs clearance and local postal services are involved. Once the parcel has entered the destination country, delivery timelines and handling are managed entirely by the local delivery partner. We’re sorry if this was not the experience you were hoping for and that the delivery process did not meet your expectations. Your feedback has been noted and helps us understand how these situations feel from a customer’s perspective, even when the delays or fees are outside of our direct control.
