“Meat appears to be excellent. However delivery on my recent order was terrible,The parcel was left at a proprty about a quart of a mile away clearly signed Orchard ottage where the owner was on holiday. Luckily I recognised the location from the photo supplied.I happened to be viewing another E mail soon after the delivery,which was fortuittous in the present heat.”

“Tried a few online butchers with varying results, Swaledale are definitely in first place, firstly communications, there had been a 'glitch with our order', we were immediately informed and advised of a new delivery date - it's all you need. The main thing though is the meat, ordered a variety of products to get an idea of the range, all delivered in good insulated box with relevant labels, use by dates etc. A big problem with buying food online is that when it's delivered, it doesn't really look anything like the photographs, vacuum packaging is necessary but often makes things worse. The meat from Swaledale looks (and smells) great, there was very little liquid in the packaging and I'll review each product individually. Definitely recommend”

“My order was mostly fine, except that they did not have ox kidney (so I was refunded for it) and then after delivery, I saw that 0.5 kg of a leg of lamb was missing (0.88 kg actual weight, 1.4 kg was ordered). I was refunded for half of that leg. Overall, it was acceptable as nothing else was incorrect, but it was a bother. Thankfully, their customer service was good.”

“Excellent meat. Delivery exactly as stated, well packed and 4 gel ice packs. Expensive compared to supermarkets but 10 levels better. Worth every penny and will be buying again.”

“Hi, I am very happy with the Hotlink product I buy but have struggled to get any invoices for the orders I have placed for Smokehouse & Cellar Knutsford. I also managed to call through once and was told you don't do them. I could do with invoices relating to my previous orders for my accounts. Ideally like is the case with many other sites once an order is placed an invoice for our accounts is generated and emailed automatically. Going forward not getting invoices would impact on mr ordering from this company. info@smokehouseandcellar.com”

“The smoked lardo steak burgers were absolutely delicious. Chicken fantastic. Not yet eaten the cote de boeuf, but if is anything like the last one, it too will be equally enjoyable. All arrived on time and in good order.”
