Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“I had a very unique situation with a property with many complications. After getting knocked back for insurance but the mainstream insurers I found Stanhope. After a really useful phone call I had my insurance sorted and a price better than I’d hoped for - thank you”

“Communication was very easy and April was most helpful and very pleasant to deal with. She kept me up to date with what was going on regularly and always contacted me at times that were convenient for me. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stanhope again.”

“Vicky showed great patience and diligence in talking me through the options open to me. Our need was to insure a property now empty following the passing of our mother. Vicky's compassion and skill guided us to a recommendation that we were happy to accept. If anyone has a need for insurance that is in any way unconventional, I would highly recommend Stanhope.”

“Highly recommended. We are very grateful to Stuart at Stanhope who made insuring our building and contents during remodelling straightforward. We were very disappointed by our previous provider concerning our policy as we started building work and realised that online brokers are not set up for much more than processing your insurance premium. Stuart is professional, well informed and responsive, all of which is lacking from online providers. We feel confident that if the worst did happen, Stuart would resolve the matter effectively.”

“I needed insurance for an unoccupied house & was unsure what level of cover was appropriate. Stuart Hope was excellent at guiding me through my options taking time to ensure I understood the different forms of cover & endorsements. I received quotes from other companies & Stuart was able to compete with the best offer. I received the documents immediately. Hopefully I won’t have to make a claim but I felt reassured that if needed I would be well supported.”

“I have been delighted with the service provided by Stanhope and Kirsty in particular.
