Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“I called Stanhope out-of-the-blue after receiving my insurance renewal. I have never used a broker before as I considered it rather old-fashioned. After a terrible experience from my DEFACTO five star rated supplier procured from a comparison website however I realised there are a number of subtleties to insurance that are really only understood by industry insiders. The agent I spoke to, spoke to me more like a friend than a client, sensitively evaluating my understanding and bridging the gaps in my knowledge. She was able to save me money on my renewal, but was not as cheap as some on line suppliers, but I prefer the personal service and the support I was getting with Stanhope.”

“Declan Broderick was thoughtful and effective in addressing what I needed, which was a bit nuanced and specialist. He found the right route to follow and got me subsidence cover which my previous brokers had failed to achieve. He was brisk and efficient in communicating and pleasant to deal with”

“I appreciate always being able to speak to one of Stanhope's helpful, knowledgeable staff members in the UK office, rather than being directed to a remote help centre overseas, which has been my experience with some other insurance companies. Also, many insurance companies greatly increase the price when policies are due for renewal, which makes existing customers feel that they are taken for granted. This was not the case with Stanhope and so based on my experience, I recommend Stanhope as a company who value their clients.”
