Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“Spoke to a very well informed consultant who listened to me, answered all my questions but didn't waste any time and made the sale process extremely easy. Having made frustrating calls to several other companies, it was a great relief.”

“I received superb service from Declan Broderick at Stanhope when I needed to find a home insurance policy that also included cover for a valuable timepiece. The service was both efficient and courteous. He took time to ensure that I had all of the information needed to make a decision and the process to secure cover was quick and easy. I would highly recommend Stanhope for securing insurance of this type.”

“Delighted and surprised at the speedy response to our initial enquiry. A rare thing these days! Ryan Ottoway was very professional, attentive and courteous in helping us with our insurance policy purchase. “We contacted Stanhope after receiving a renewal request from a company we had used for a number of years but were increasing the premium by nearly 20%. Stanhope came up with a tailored solution which is at a price very substantially less than even last year's premium with the previous company. Declan has been both very professional and good at communicating with us at all stages of the process. Our expectations have been exceeded.”

“A fantastic service from Stuart at Stanhope who found us a suitable insurance cover for our house which is undergoing renovations. Despite it being late afternoon when I rang, the insurance was in place before the end of the day. We were very anxious as our mainstream insurer cancelled our policy when I informed them of the building works and offered no alternative cover or advice. We spent a long time trying to find replacement cover without success but once we rang Stanhope Stuart’s calm, reassuring and knowledgeable manner was like a breath of fresh air. This company aims to be the best UK broker and they certainly impressed us - it is so good to get a voice at the end of the phone line and straightforward service.”

“The guys have been excellent. Like all insurers, it's all done by the books etc which means you have moments of frustration (like any bureaucratic system) Having provided all the info required I was told because it wasn't in the correct format it wouldn't be accepted. Annoying... but at least they're doing things the 'correct' way.”

“Needed to insure buildings and contents but cover with companies not adequate for contents. Stanhope suggested splitting cover to give full cover. Really pleased with their expertise. A little more expensive but properly covered.”
