Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“Kirst Scott was fantastic, staying late on a Friday so we could wait for exchange on our property and activate the insurance. It was a very complicated policy and she was reassuring and helpful throughout.”

“The Insurance agent I spoke to was knowledgeable and professional. He promised to go away and identify suitable insurance companies and he was true to his word, coming back to me a few days later. I was happy with the quote provided and all of the relevant paperwork was emailed to me the same day. The quote provided was very competitive and so i would recommend Stanhope.”

“For a moment I imagined that I would make little progress as with other brokers/insurers but Chantelle got back to me with a quote and associated caveats and took me through the details. She was able to deliver an improved offer from the insurer with a ‘free’ rebuilding cost survey in September. I was impressed by her enthusiasm and professional approach. An excellent introduction to Stanhope Insurance. RJM”

“Dealt with in a very pleasant manner and efficiently. However when policy was sent out first names were missing and the email was addressed to my husband first and me second. I returned valuation forms etc and got a very quick apology saying that the inclusion of my husband name was a “grammatical form”. I assume this had nothing to do with the person I spoke to on the phone. I was more than impressed with how he dealt with me. Four stars was the fact email was not addressed to me.”

“Very good service and price. Most insurers do not offer all risks home renovation cover or if they do, it is very expensive. Happily, Stanhope and their underwriters provided good cover at a sensible price.”

“Ryan at Stanhope Insurance has been extremely helpful and very patient. Nothing was too much trouble and he went through the details several times with me to help me understand the scope of our renovation cover. He never tried to cut corners or rush me through it and spent time researching other aspects of cover which, in the end, I didn’t take out. I would certainly use Stanhope Insurance again. I felt that whole aim was to get the right cover for us.”
