Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“Our previous insurance provider ceased to provide cover for all existing clients so we had to look around for an alternate provider. From start to finish, Stanhope stood out from the others with quick, detailed responses to any questions we had. Our advisor Emily was fault less. In a day when good customer service is a rare if not totally invisible, this was a gratifying change.”

“Donna Sankey was a pleasure to deal with in arranging our home insurance. She was very personable to deal with and attentive to our requirements. Professional and very responsive in securing comprehensive cover with a leading insurer at competitive rates. I would strongly recommend Stanhope's service (they also arrange our private medical cover).”

“Whilst the cost differential to insure the jewellery without supplementary home security was the deciding factor in selecting Stanhope over its competitors, the overall administration process could be improved. Despite forwarding current jewellery valuations on the same day as paying the fees, on 24th October, several emails were received stating that Stanhope was still awaiting initial insurance valuation. Having contacted Stanhope on the 7th of November, the client advisor apologised and acknowledged the receipts had been provided. To prevent the jewellery from being underinsured, new valuations were submitted to Stanhope on the 13th of November. Unfortunately, the new policy issued was missing one item of jewellery. Again, Stanhope had to be contacted to explain the error and enable the correct policy to be re-issued. Attention to detail requires improving.”
