Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“I have, very recently, moved my home, contents & named items insurance cover to a policy sourced & by Ryan Ottaway at Stanhope. This was done after many hours of searching & comparing policies & a very disappointing client experience with my previous large, well know provider. It was clear that the level of service Ryan wanted to deliver was head & shoulders above that I had from all other conversations previously. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable & extremely thorough in identifying my specific requirements & tailoring solutions for my needs. He was also able to follow up with his promise of coming back to me exactly as promised & without delay. This really instilled confidence in not only Ryan's service but Stanhope as an organisation & the comprehensive policy sourced for me. I might add that the policy decided upon was much more robust & added convenience should I ever need to claim within my cover. This is an easy 5* star review for Ryan & Stanhope (I have no affiliation to to either outside of being a client!) & would gladly recommend both without reservation.”

“I have purchased two separate buildings and contents policies through Stanhope in the last 6 months. I have had the pleasure of dealing with both Kirsty and Emily. I found them both extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They produced a number of options for me and talked me through the differences in the various options so that I could make an informed decision. Any queries were answered promptly and they made the whole process very straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stanhope again or to recommend them to friends and family.”
