About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

Customer service, fast delivery, providing quality items, timely advice and all with a smile is at the heart of everything we do. We dont get it right all the time but this is always our objective.

“Service from Mountain Dog was excellent and delivery was reasonable but unfortunately I had to return the harness as it really wasn't suitable as I had misread the description.”

“This is a brilliant harness! We struggled to find something that had all the components we needed (front clip, top clip and a handle) while also being super cute AND coming in a size big enough for our XL boy. This harness has it all! Although it doesn't technically have a chest clip, the triangle connector on the chest works just the same to clip a lead to. Not to mention the harness is beautiful! 10/10 would recommend and for a brilliant price.”

“Excellent service as always. Our lurcher and whippet wear the Ruffwear Webmaster harnesses which are just perfect. The other day I received an email advertising an offer on the Swamp Cooler harnesses. We have been walking the dogs around 5am in the hot weather and mostly on the lead but they still like their zoomies, so these harnesses sounded perfect. In my haste to order them I placed the order and then realised I hadn't entered the code for the price reduction. I sent an email and Paul promptly replied that the problem had been dealt with an a refund issued. The harnesses arrived very quickly and we are delighted with them. Another great product and fantastic service as well. I would highly recommend Mountain Dog. Also advice on fitting is just at the end of the phone too.”

“but it works really well and has kept him from panting in hot weather he doesn't like it at first but as soon as he gets exercising walking running he forgets all about it and is nice and cool”

“Excellent sales and after sales service from the team. The product seems substantial however the sizing can be problematic I ordered the small following the guide which indicated my jack Russel to be within that range of length and girth but on arrival the sack proved to be too short and too tight for her, the team were great exchanging for a medium which on first try out appears to be significantly bigger, I'm sure with practice and some padding in the bottom we will get it right.”

“I was happy with the length of the lead but thought the lead would have been made of double webbing. As it’s only single my dog has been able to easily chew it and once I’d purchased it I looked online and it had been reduced in price.”

“Mountain dog is our go to for ruffwear gear especially. Have never had any issues with orders and delivery times are very good! We got the swamp cooler harness this time and the only complaint I have is to ruffwear about their colour names. It is very much more of a blue than a purple but still a great harness.”

“Paul was really helpful in selecting the right size harness for our between sizes Labrador….he was spot on. Ruffwear products speak for themselves and Mountain Dog gave a great selection of this and other trusted brands. Fast and reasonable delivery too.”
