About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“I had to pay customs from Republic of Ireland.Tried to contact yourselves no reply .The harness was to small so had send back and paid 8 euro for return plus 24 euro in customs coming into Ireland.So expensive.”

Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied - we did speak to you so a little unsure why you think there wasn't any contact. Maybe we spoke to another member of your family on the same topic? The situation with duty is quite unavoidable as you are in the EU and our website explains that given the size of our business we cannot register for Irish duty due to very low volumes. It's regrettable but I'm sure this is consistent with other items you import from the UK and it is 100% out of our control post Brexit. On the basis of this feedback we have now withdrawn shipping for the EU and will only serve the UK market where factors are much more controllable.

“After a few adjustments the harness fits well on our flat coated retriever/Labrador cross. Its tricky to put on over her collar so I’ve been removing it. This means I need to keep the harness on when she’s off the lead. I’m a little concerned about doing this as she’s an adventurer, going off into the undergrowth, jumping over stuff and into any available water. So there’s a risk she could get caught up. She also rolls in unspeakables! We’ll have to see how that goes. But generally much better than her previous harness.”

Let me first reassure you that the Front Range Harnesses are durable and robust. It is designed to be used as an everyday harness meaning it can withstand the adventures you and your best friend takes. Like every harness, there is that chance that they could get tangled, however, this isn't something that we have seen happen before nor is it something that is commonly seen amongst our customers. Our Front Range Harness offers that extra security and close fit with its 4 points of adjustment, meaning a closer fit to the body. The Front Range Harness can be worn in water and puddles, however, the harness is not waterproof and will get wet. You can treat the harness with waterproof spray the same way you would if you had a waterproof coat or shoes. Rest assured your doggo can roll around in as many unspeakable things whilst on adventures because the harness can be hand washed with a mild detergent. “Firstly, Mountain Dog have been supremely helpful with sorting returns so that I was able to get the right size. Finally we have got the right size and the coat is really really lovely. Super warm and a lovely perfect fit. Our old dog has now stopped refusing to come out walking on cold days!”

“I was recommended this harness by a friend and I'm not disappointed. It was too small for my cockapoo (my mistake) but it was easy to send back and exchange. The new one was on its way in a only a couple of days. The new one fits perfectly. The material is strong, sturdy and padded so its comfortable for my pup. The added bonus it canbe seen in the dark too. I highly recommend this harness and Mountain dog is a great company.”
