About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“I had a very helpful and quick email exchange regarding some questions on buying new dog coats. Ordered two and these were delivered super fast. I’ve only marked down to 4 because I had a very specific request on dog coat type and was indicated there wasn’t one exactly right, but after ordering I realised the web description wasn’t complete (the coat actually did have a harness hole even though this wasn’t stated as a feature on the website), so I may have made a different choice.”

Hi, Thank you so much for your feedback - I'm glad to hear your coats arrived to you very quickly! The majority of the products we stock have a lead portal, so that a harness can be worn underneath. In the rare instances that there isn't a lead portal present, such as on a jacket like the Hase, we do take extra care to mention this in the product description. “We found this company through an Internet search. We found the website easy to navigate with honest reviews. We were looking at a harness and lead we found what we wanted with great additional information like sizing etc. This was the cheapest brand however reviews seemed to say they offered an old-fashioned service via the Internet. the harness and lead arrived in the agreed timescales. We were very impressed with the quality and design. It fits our dog nicely so pleased. Compared to other harnesses and leads we have brought Mountain Dog is far superior.”

“Great coat . A lot of thought has gone into the anatomy to make this comfortable and a good fit . It’s also very lightweight . I’ve an elderly Deerhound Lurcher and went for the largest size and it’s perfect . I like the way it covers the neck area. It’s also good that no Velcro is involved and proper straps are used instead which don’t trap long hair . I’m glad I paid a bit extra and went for this over cheaper ones as it really is worth it for the quality .”

“Really happy with the rain jacket for our little poodle. He hates getting his hair wet and this takes the edge off. It’s a really buttery soft material and it works perfectly with a harness. For deep-chested breeds like ours, he could probably have done with a slightly longer belt but at it’s longest and with the stretch it just about works - a bigger size would have swamped him.”

“The Ruffwear Hi & Light harness is really well made with high quality materials. My little Oscar took to it very well and now wears it on every walk. He’s a rescued street dog from Romania and still has much to learn but this harness is really helping to control him safely.”

“The 10m orange long lead is perfect. Light, non slip and doesn’t soak up water or give you friction burns when a pheasant pops out of the bushes! Great product and great service”

“Brought two dog leads in the sale not only were they an excellent price ( didn’t want to spend to much as was unsure they would do the trick) but they actually help with a pulling puppy. We walk like an angel now. Arrived quickly and well packaged.”
