“Received the item on time and suitably packaged. The item which came being 700mm long and even with my height of 2m, I could not reach the ladder to pull it down. I removed the head and fitted it to my existing pole. This allowed both my wife and I to connect it to the ladder and pull it down/push it up. Now able to use loft again.”

“Unfortunately, the loft hatch which was the correct size for aperture , was not it was too big , after lots of filling and sanding I got it to fit , and honestly it does seem very flimsy aswell.”

Thank you so much for your 4-star rating Stephen. Sorry you had difficulty fitting the loft hatch, but we appreciate you taking the time to make it fit. We're glad to hear it does its job despite your concerns regarding its sturdiness. Some customers do comment on the flex in the plastic but once secured against the ceiling the hatch is very rigid. We do offer metal loft hatches but not at the price point of the plastic ones. Thank you for your feedback.

“Ordered a bespoke-sized loft hatch. The product is great and completely fit for purpose. I've only dropped it by one star because it is a little cost heavy. I would recommend this company for its service and product quality.”

“I ordered a heavy-duty loft hatch latch, as I have a large and heavy loft hatch; as we were redecorating, I decided to tidy up and replace the existing mechanism. This item was just what was required, but I did feel that it was expensive; however, where else could I have found a suitable alternative? The item arrived promptly, but when I unpacked it, I found that there was a component missing from the kit. I telephoned Jupiter Blue customer services, who were most apologetic and sent the missing piece in the post - it arrived the following day. No harm done. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow, and my landing now looks much neater for having it!”

“Panel arrived within 6 days, was well packaged, with no damage and to the size specified. The rear of the door and panel surround could have been fully painted but wasn’t. I wasn’t expecting such a large flange on the panel surround nor such a large lock mechanism and so I have trimmed back / removed these to suit my purpose. However, the door and panel surround remain stiff enough despite the amount of material I removed.”

“The company sent the goods, post office destroyed the goods, returned to sender and sender forgot to tell me, the company re sent goods and there were received in due course. Excellent product,good service, just a little lack of communication has put my job behind by two weeks hence four stars:))”

“I bought a made to measure roof hatch. The quality of the hatch itself is very good and the service was great. I had one issue, where the aluminium covering I'd paid for wasn't installed on my hatch which was a bit annoying, but after contacting the customer services team, it was sent the next day and I was able to retro-fit myself. I would definately use Jupiter blue again.”

“Good-looking product. The only criticism I have, is the latch mechanism extends beyond the rim measurement, therefore a notch has to be made to allow the latch to swivel.”

“Nice loft hatch. Ordering a custom size is a bit confusing though as there's a lack of consistency in the instructions provided. The ordering page on the website says to deduct 5mm from the width when ordering, but the paperwork with the hatch says to deduct 5mm from both dimensions. Go with 5mm on both dimensions, if your roof hatch space is even slightly off square it'll be a pain to fit otherwise.. which mine was.”

“The hatch was easy to fit and looks good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the plastic washers provided with the screws are too thick causing the screw head to stick out and interfere with the hinge. In addition, the screws are weak and I snapped the head off one. I used PZ 4x38 wood screws instead.”

“Nice looking made to measure loft hatch. It would have been 5 stars but a bit disappointed with hinge as it's just holes drlled in frame and hatch and a metal rod. No bushes, so I don't know how long it will last .”

“Good quality gear. My only slight criticism is they sent me a loft latch loose in a tatty old wall fixings box. There were a couple of washers in there and I really had to hunt to find them. Maybe wrap things up and package them a bit better?”
