“Had an issue with damaged corner on a loft hatch contacted them and straight away sent a new one very efficient great service”

“One of the few companies that make metal loft hatches to size. As a qualified engineer (I Eng) this product was well made and accuratly made. Why 4 star and not 5? I made it clear at the point of order that the dispatch date should be on a date I required. This was agreed. It was dispatched early and I found it at my front door on returning home; it was lucky it was not stolen. My loft hatch was large and fairly heavy, the design could be improved to allow easy removal of the hatch from the frame, a very simple design modification of hinge rod being in two pieces joined with a small tube with allen screws. This would result in a small cost increase. To fit the hatch I had to spring the hinge rod.”

“Old drafty wooden uninsulated loft hatvh well overdue to get replaced. Awkward size and found jupiter blue online. Rang them up gave them the dimensions and an insulated double single lock loft hatch came to me. Did take about 10 days from ordering to deliver to Northern Ireland. Arrived and well made with metal frame. Quite heavy and tricky to install mainly as i balanced on top of a chair whilst my wife held on from the loft for dear life. Plenty of fix points about 10 screws , easy to install minus the weight and sitting flush against the ceiling .”

“Basically a good hatch. Heavier than expected to operate. Easy to install. Locking pole is useless if not dangerous particularly so for not so strong person trying to operate hatch from floor.”

“I am very pleased with the product. The only reason for 4 stars is that when asked if there was any tolerance on the dimensions of the hatch a company spokesman said no, the sizes would be as given. My hatch is several millimetres smaller, which suited my installation to perfection!”

“V good products but web site YouTube had incorrect sizing of AT15 loft hatch. Also I found fitting the hatch quite tricky as you really need a v strong helper to hold the hatch in place while fitting. The seals around the fixing screw were also a bit useless as they prevent the screws going in far enough so the obstruct the hatch closing. I just made it airtight using silicone sealant. The finished hatch looks great”

“Made to measure loft hatch installed and functional without any problems. Delivery system is only area that needs improved. 10 days is ok, but there was no indication of delivery day or time on the day. I missed the first delivery attempt and had to wait until 2 pm on the next day. The tracking system did not provide any live info.”

“Excellent product. Made to my exact dimensions. Very robust. One star knocked off as could have had a little better communication as regards parcel tracking and delivery time. However, apart from that, very pleased”

“I’ve asked for a refund on my order and I have not received yet I ordered and cancelled as soon as they said it will be Monday for delivery I always use you but I needed to access panels quick so I had to buy them off the shelf I did not realise the time is 3 pm cut off for next day delivery”

Hi Nigel, thank you for your review. When you place an order your bank gives us an authorisation code which allows us to debit the money from your payment card. In the case of your order from yesterday (5th October) The money isn't actually debited from your account until 23.59 the same working day. You asked us to cancel the order before the funds had been debited so the only option open to us was to voided your transaction. Voiding means we will never attempt to debit the money, however the authorisation code generated by your bank is valid for a period of time. During this period of time the funds will show as pending, however will not be debited. This is a feature of the bnaking systems and is outside of our control. Please feel free to verify this with your bank.

“Good product, as advertised and with good delivery time. The reason this isn't a 5-star review is because the printed instructions said that the aperture to the loft should be measured only after lining it with plasterboard. This information is not included in the online instructions that I read when making the order, so I measured according to that. Luckily, my fitting worked without plasterboard, but otherwise it could have been a disaster. If that information was in fact in the online instructions, then please forgive me, but I don't remember seeing it anywhere.”

“Quite happy with the loft hatch and ladder as they were fairly easy to install and are exactly what I was needing for providing easy access to the loft space. Only minor complaints would be that the way the fixings for the loft hatch were packaged that they compressed the hatch insulation during shipping so it's now got the outline of the screws imprinted on it. Also the delivery charges to ship it via Parcel Force (ie. Royal Mail) to NE Scotland are extortionate.”

We regret to hear that the loft ladder hits the insulation on the loft door. Notching the insulation is one option, alternatively you could raise the mounting point of the ladder to give more clearance but there are some points you'd need to check before doing this.
