“From point of order to delivery was execellent. However one ofthe touch catches on eack door dosent work so the bottom of the door is proud of the wall.”

“Firstly the packing was in a bit of a bad way but fortunately no damage. The sealing strip was all twisted in one corner so had to straighten that and I think the strip is very thin and only just taller than the rim. That definitely could be better to create a greater seal.”

“Jupiter blue were very helpful when I phoned for advice about a loft hatch. I ordered a hatch and this was delivered the next day. I have not yet had time to fit the hatch but feel I be able to do this without any problem. Good service.”

“No point in writing this ad icy or even opened the box that the loft hatch came in. But seeing as you have asked for a review I can only say that the box appears to be well wrapped”

“Good quality made to measure loft hatch. Looks great! My only comments would be (1) Fitting would be easier if it were possible to remove the door. I did see that this was possible with cheaper plastic hatches - not sure if there is some reason why it isn't possible with metal doors but I would have thought there would be a way. (2) The lock is very stiff. I have fitted the screws correctly and the frame is not distorted. It does say that the hatch might stand proud for a few months whilst the draught proofing settles so I assume that it what is causing excessive pressure on the catch, making it stiff? This could perhaps have been mentioned. The catch also rotates counter-intuitively - clockwise to unlock, anti-clockwise to lock - possibly intalled 90 degrees out?? (3) No advance notification that the parcel had been dispatched. I had given instructions to leave in garage if I was out. Luckily I was in because I wouldn't have left the garage unlocked as I didn't know it was coming!”

“Custom made hatch, very good fit but expensive for what it is compared to regular sizes. Had to have it custom sized as replacing an existing loft opening. I daresay I could have resized to fit a standard hatch, but it would have meant plasterboard work and redecorating the ceiling.”

“One of the few companies that make metal loft hatches to size. As a qualified engineer (I Eng) this product was well made and accuratly made. Why 4 star and not 5? I made it clear at the point of order that the dispatch date should be on a date I required. This was agreed. It was dispatched early and I found it at my front door on returning home; it was lucky it was not stolen. My loft hatch was large and fairly heavy, the design could be improved to allow easy removal of the hatch from the frame, a very simple design modification of hinge rod being in two pieces joined with a small tube with allen screws. This would result in a small cost increase. To fit the hatch I had to spring the hinge rod.”

“Old drafty wooden uninsulated loft hatvh well overdue to get replaced. Awkward size and found jupiter blue online. Rang them up gave them the dimensions and an insulated double single lock loft hatch came to me. Did take about 10 days from ordering to deliver to Northern Ireland. Arrived and well made with metal frame. Quite heavy and tricky to install mainly as i balanced on top of a chair whilst my wife held on from the loft for dear life. Plenty of fix points about 10 screws , easy to install minus the weight and sitting flush against the ceiling .”

“Basically a good hatch. Heavier than expected to operate. Easy to install. Locking pole is useless if not dangerous particularly so for not so strong person trying to operate hatch from floor.”

“I am very pleased with the product. The only reason for 4 stars is that when asked if there was any tolerance on the dimensions of the hatch a company spokesman said no, the sizes would be as given. My hatch is several millimetres smaller, which suited my installation to perfection!”

“V good products but web site YouTube had incorrect sizing of AT15 loft hatch. Also I found fitting the hatch quite tricky as you really need a v strong helper to hold the hatch in place while fitting. The seals around the fixing screw were also a bit useless as they prevent the screws going in far enough so the obstruct the hatch closing. I just made it airtight using silicone sealant. The finished hatch looks great”
