“This is my second pair of Lowa’s in almost 14 years since leaving the military. The first pair were a black leather pair that are still in working order for the most part except the heel now is just about starting to perish. They have in their time, however, completed numerous walks in Snowdonia and Conwy, Edale Skyline, Three Peaks, Fan Dance and various walks in New Zealand including the Tongariro Crossing (fantastic walk). On occasion, I have also worn them for work when working in the snow. I have replaced them with a tan coloured swede pair of the same style. I always choose the mountain boots as you get more protection around your ankles. In my opinion, these boots are the best boots for particularly for hiking but also to wear day to day if you wish. They are comfortable from the first day you put them on.”

“Superb quality walking shoes, Excellent, courteous and speedy service. I previously had a pair of these shoes which travelled the world with me for several years. I wanted a replacement pair, but mistakenly bought the wrong size online. They were accepted by return and I was refunded without fuss. I have now bought the right size and am delighted with them.”

“I ordered wide fitting but these boots are not wide fitting. I have a number of pairs of running shoes and walking boots which are wide fit and these wide fit weee not. We’ll made boot though, just not the right size for my feet.”

“Very well made boots, great lacing system, quick to wear in, comfortable for a slightly wider foot. So far they appear to be waterproof which is something I'm very much hoping for. One down side and only because a lot of my walking is across muddy fields with my dog. The deep lugs on the sole soon fill up with mud which I can't dislodge, making the boots heavy and slippery. It needs a powerful hosepipe to remove the mud when I get home. So maybe not best for muddy walks. Overall I'm still very pleased with them. The issue maybe common with hill climbing boots being used in fields.”

“The first pair of boots i ordered where a little small but there was no problems sending them back as they came with a free post/ returns sticker. to avoid buying the wrong boot again i email them for advice especially as i have some orthopaedic issues. i got a very detailed reply with lots of great information and advice. Now just looking forward to my boots ariving!”
