“Shoes look good and fit well … however there was some mould on the side of both shoes .. most likely caused by being kept in a damp store”

“I was looking for a pair of walking shoes which had a wide fit option, were true to size and gave good foot support. These wonderful shoes fit the bill and are so comfortable.”

“I have had 3 or 4 pairs of Lowa boots over the last 5 or 6 years, and each time I have purchased them direct. They come with a prepaid label which means exchanging them is easy and there is a person on the other end of the phone to chat to as well. On this occasion I accidentally ordered the normal fitting instead of the wide. Isaac at Lowa then contacted me and asked if I would prefer the wide as their records showed that I had had wide before. This saved me the trouble of returning them! Thank you. Also he held delivery back so that they did not turn up whilst I was away. Excellent customer service.”

“The service and delvery are good. The boots are really hard wearing but comfortable. We use them literally everyday for long hikes or work wear and so far have never had any trouble. - this must be my 10th pair used over the same number of years. They are so good in fact when we need a new pair we don't even need to look around just go straight to the Lowa website. The boots we buy have vibram soles and are made in Germany/Europe.”

“Probably about the tenth pair of Lowa renegade Lo I have bought over the years. I do a lot of walking and I just wear them until the soles have worn down and then I buy another pair. They are not as waterproof as a proper pair of walking boots but unless you’re walking up a mountain in a storm they will probably keep the rain out.”

“Review for the Lowa Renegade Min GTX Boots are excellent on comfort and grip but the waterproofing and breathability in wet weather is alright up to 45 minutes but after this they just soak up water like a pair of sponges. You can even see the moisture actually leaking out of the stiching mainly around the tougue as you walk along. After my last two visits to the Lake District I can honestly say that I have never had a pair of boot so bad at keeping moisture out. After doing a 5 mile hike in rainy conditions allow a week to dry them out.”

“I have had Lowa boots previously that I could not fault - perfect fit, well made, no hot-spots, utter comfort and durability. So I wanted to buy some more (last pair lasted 18 years!) I'm certain the boots are still very good quality. However, fit is quite a bit narrower these days, even for standard boots a full size too big for me (I'm an 8). It was suggested I buy a 9.5 in their widest fit boot; whilst this may have addressed the width issue, it meanst the boot is 1.5 sizes too big in length, meaning I would have had to trade one issue for another, which is pointless. BTW - Lowa themselves admit to having made the fit "closer" these days. Why? All I'm saying is, buy Lowa with confidence, but if you have a wider fit requirement, then perhaps (?) Lowa may not offer the accurate fit options you need these days. Lowa: please consider introducing a proper, wider fit option - EE or more. Thanks.”

“Lowa do look after their customers. My shoes had a fault that became apparent after wearing outside and Lowa provided a full refund after being unable to resolve the issue. I've only knocked off a star as it would have been better not to have shipped faulty shoes in the first place. However, 5 out 5 for service.”

“I have short wide feet (almost square 😂) but the Lowa wide fit perfectly. They were comfortable straight from the box and didn’t need breaking in, as others have said. Took me a couple of walks to get the lacing just right but now I just put them on and they are comfortable all day. Really pleased with them.”
