“I really love Cable and Cotton string lights. I've created my own quite a few times over the last few years. They brighten a corner and make a fun replacement for a lamp. You can match colour schemes and be creative. They're good for the bedroom and living areas and the new LEDs are longer lasting too. Can't rate them enough. Excellent product. Excellent service!”

“I purchased the Easter Bunny in 35 lights and they look fabulous in my kitchen. This is my second lot of lights that I have purchased from Cable & Cotton...and will not be the last. I have my beady eyes on Beach Huts💜💛💚🧡💗💙💛❤️! I live the lights. Little hint...with the new light fitments, I would suggest a slightly larger line being scored, so the light can be popped through a little easier. Many thanks.”

Dear Kathleen, Thank you so much for your lovely post and also the fab photo of Ester Bunny in your kitchen! We love seeing how people use them in their own homes - I have Rainbow in my kitchen and it is, like yours, really colourful and bright. Brighton Beach Hut is also a very pretty colour combination too - I hope you like it as much and look forward to another pic of where you put it?! Thanks also for your feedback regarding the width of the holes on the cotton balls - since we introduced the LED lights we have of course made sure all the stock we order henceforth has wider cuts in it, so this will soon be the norm! “I think they will look nice when assembled ..however I spent ages choosing the mix and order and thought they would come assembled in chosen order ..now wishing I had saved p &p and gone to shop in Bath where they will Assist you to assemble them there.”

Dear Anita, Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments. I am sorry that you were expecting the lights to arrive already made up. We cannot do this due to the high volume of orders as it is too time-consuming. It also gives people the choice as to how to thread their colours onto the cable in the order they prefer. How nice that the shop near you in Bath helps people attach them - we used to do the same for customers in the Brighton shop once they had chosen their own pattern. I very much hope you can enjoy your lovely light set when you have made them up. They do look so pretty when you turn them on. Yours sincerely, Kate

“Like a few other reviewers I thought the lights were slightly over-priced, but putting that aside... I appreciate it's very difficult to show online a realistic picture of how the lights look in a naturally subdued light environment but this didn't bother me too much when I compared the two. The size took me slightly by surprise, but again, no matter. I think the main criticism would be that one colour ball (there were I think three of these), mid-blue?, was much thinner than any of the others and therefore collapsed immediately in trying to push through the cable & bulb making it annoyingly difficult to push them back into shape.”

“I love these lights. My only criticism is that the colours depicted online (when you choose your own) are not as bright as the ones I received. But I still think they are great. I might have to order some more, slightly subtle shades next time. Thank you.”

Dear Anon, Thank you for taking the time to post. All the colours we show online in the choose your own and replacement section are images based on photos of the product. We try really hard to get the colour as accurate as possible to real life, depending on the lighting of when the photo is taken. This image is then uploaded onto the website. It would be really helpful if you can email me on hellow@cableandcotton.com with an example of which colour/s you felt did not reflect 'reality' so that we can check them ourselves again.
