“Order arrived really quickly. The new led lights are great and I like the way the balls are less likely to slip off the bulbs. Slits were all fine except for the dark grey which were all to small! Colour selection perfect for the room.”

Dear Kathryn, Thank you for your lovely post - I am glad you like the new LEDs and that you managed to get all the cotton balls onto the LED discs. I am sorry that the splits on the dark grey balls were slightly too small and hope you could cut the cotton easily as advised in the instruction leaflet. “I've always had a great relationship with Cable & Cotton & if any problems have arised have always been sorted out quickly & easily . Still one of my best sellers 😊 the only thing I would say with the new LED we should have a certain amount of free balls for display purposes as really not easy to change colours & I end up having to use my stock . Apart from that I'm a happy retailer”

“I don't think it's clear enough on your site that you are going to have to thread the lights onto the balls yourself. Barely any of mine had a cut long enough so I spent over an hour carefully cutting and threading. For £35 I'd expect this to be done at your end. One of them was such a struggle I ended up denting the ball so am left one short. I wouldn't recommend as don't think this is good value for money.”

Dear Rachel, Thank you for your post and feedback - I am sorry you did not expect to have to place the balls onto the cable yourself. Due to the high volume of orders and the fact that most customers like to customise their cables themselves, we do not thread the cables before sending the light sets out. I do understand that sometimes, due to the handmade nature of the product, a ball can get dented in the process if the split is not wide enough; please email me at hello@cableandcotton.com and I will of course send you out a replacement ball as I do not want you to be one ball short. “I have been wanting some of your lovely lights for ages, since seeing my sisters set...having a set (primrose) that match my bedroom on a special offer made me jump, and I LOVE them!! Fairly simple to assemble (although I broke a nail lol) the glow they provide is delightful!!!”

“I love your fairy lights. I have 3 sets of my own and have gifted them to at least 4 of my friends, and they are always really well received. One friend put it perfectly..."I didn't realise I needed them in my life until I had received them". The only thing I would say that could be improved is the delivery times but this is by no means a big issue...just some honest feedback from someone who does a fair bit of online shopping! I appreciate that you can opt for express delivery but I have found that when having standard delivery I've ever received an order earlier than 4 or 5 days after ordering (which I understand is within the stated time frame but it would be nice to get them a little sooner). Looking at the email trails it takes you around 2 full days to process an order before it is shipped. Hopefully this just means that you are super busy and getting so many orders that you cannot deal with them any quicker ;-)”

Dear Ellen, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and well-considered post. We do take on board all feedback. To explain regarding the time/s it takes to send out orders, we do not have any of the sets ready made so each time someone places an order it is custom made. Given that there are over 50 colours and so many combinations, this takes more time than say sending a dress or book out, hence the time frame we allow especially when busy. Our warehouse is not open at weekends, to give staff well-deserved time off so we operate weekdays only. I am glad that your have not received any orders too late, and am delighted you have continued to order with us for yourself and your friends too. Yours warmly, Kate
