“The brakes on the wheel chair did not work efficiently when used the chair to a took a long time to stop despite holding down the brake hard . I used the chair once and was not able to use it again because of the faulty brake.”

Dear Ms Murray, Thank you for your feedback regarding the wheelchair you hired from us. We are sorry to hear of the problems you experienced, but are slightly baffled by the issues you described. The wheelchair comes with parking brakes, which can be applied when the wheelchair is already at a complete stop to hold it in place – these brakes are not designed to be used when the wheelchair is in motion, as explained in the user manual supplied with the equipment. We do offer a next working day replacement service to keep our customers mobile should any problems arise with the wheelchair – unfortunately we were not made aware of any issues during the hire, so were unable to assist in this way. “I had my leg in plaster for 8 weeks, with out the knee scooter I would have been stuck as I can't use crutches. Many people asked where I had got it from and I gladly told them. I took it to my last hospital appointment and there was so much interest. This is the second year I have had to rent one and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Fantastic service from you.”

“I found the wheelchair to be in excellent condition, was very easy to fold down and light for transportation. The chair was both delivered and uplifted with ease. I would certainly use wheel freedom again.”

“I had a foot operation that meant I was non weight bearing for 7 weeks, I was given crutches but even the most simplest of tasks were impossible with crutches. I looked on the Internet and found Wheel freedom that hired knee walkers. The hiring process is straight forward, quick and good value for money. The knee walker was a valuable asset during my recovery I could move around a lot easier and my arms and shoulders stop aching. I could make tea and meals without any help and carry them on the knee walker. Even trips out of the house were achievable as I felt more safe and balanced. This is a great product and I can not recommend it enough fantastic”

“My 13 year old son had a triple fracture in his ankle and was completely non weight bearing for 6 weeks. We were due to to fly to Lanzarote 3 weeks after he had done it and we needed him to be able to enjoy his holiday. I contacted Wheelfreedom and they advised me on a lightweight wheelchair with a leg raiser , they arranged a date for delivery with me and it arrived very efficiently and boxed . Having the wheelchair was a godsend in order for my son to get the best out of his holiday. I would certainly recommend anyone to use this company . Excellent service , affordable and very professional polite staff . Thank you for giving my son some freedom at a time when he had limited mobility.”

“This service was great! Quick delivery next day as promised & you can keep the wheelchair until you don't need it anymore then arrange collection next day absolutely perfect! Really pleased with our experience with this company & would definitely recommend them to anyone.”

“The chair and service were great. My only comment is that the man who came out to deliver the chair spoke very fast and very softly, despite repeated requests to speak more slowly and loudly as Dad is very deaf. As a result, Dad did not understand how to use some of the functions of the chair, and this led to him deciding not to buy it. In turn this means we can still only take him away to places that have height adjustable beds as his current chair doesn't have a lift function to aid transfers.”

“I hired an electric wheelchair for two weeks from Wheelfreedom and found them to be absolutely fantastic to deal with. The chair worked impeccably and was in very good condition, the staff member who delivered it to the hotel went to a great deal of trouble to set it up to suit me. The only drawback I found was that you could only hire for weekly periods, which left me with a whole day left in London without the use of only my manual chair. Other than that it all went fantastically well- highly recommended!”

“WHAT A FANTASTIC MACHINE IT WAS...... VERY GOOD TO HANDLE AND RIDE ON ALL TYPES OF SURFACES..... EVEN COBBLESTONES !!!! SO EXCEPTIONALLY COMPACT I USED IT FROM THE CAR (ORDINARY SALOON TYPE) BOOT, ON TRAINS AND EVEN ON A RIVER CRUISE. I AM SURE THAT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO PROBLEMS IF I HAD TO FLY AS IT WAS SO COMPACT AND QUICKLY AND WITHOUT EFFORT OPENED AND FOLDED BACK DOWN...... AS EASY TO PUSH AS A MEDIUM SIZED SUITCASE. TRY ONE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF..... THE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY PEOPLE MADE USING A HIRE ONE EVEN MORE OF A GREAT EXPERIENCE.... WELL DONE !!!!!”

“I needed a wheelchair for my daughter as we were waiting for her nhs one. We were going on holiday and needed a wheelchair. I went online and found your company. The service we got was excellent. They delivered the chair the next day, as they said they would and picked it up when they said. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very good and her customer service skills were excellent. I would recommend your company to anyone and I would just like to say thank you and well done on having brilliant staff who deliver an excellent service.”
