“Simple & easy except you have to print the label. Not everyone has a printer! Lots of books not available to be sold where they are on other book selling apps.”

“The criteria for what is accepted in terms of condition at We Buy Books must have changed recently. Hardly any are accepted that have barely any surface marks, they are rejected, but are playable and useable. By all means lower the offer price but more items must be accepted, alternatively just state mint condition only will be accepted.”

“Simple and easy to use to clear out old books to sell but don’t be fooled by the valuation offered. When I scanned all the barcodes it said my books would be worth £35 (all were new or as new). I ended up getting £18 once I posted and couldn’t be bothered to argue with it.”

“I've recently sold piles of piano music to We Buy Any Books. The facility to send the books free and have them delivered to the company by Evri is convenient. It includes the facility to print off a label in the store. Being able to use the app to scan a bar code and then log the book on the app is great but when a book doesn't have a bar code, finding the book on the app's database isn't very reliable as the books don't appear to be in alphabetical order and inevitably I've found that they're not listed. I've then had to look up the ISBN numbers online and manually log them on the app. This is highly time consuming. The app occasionally doesn't recognise a bar code so the book can't be checked and logged on the site. I've discovered to my surprise that some of my books were only worth 15p! The most I've been offered is about £3 to £4. Many of my books were in pristine condition, some unused or brand new. Some were worth £35- £40 new and to sell them for a mere 15p seemed a trifle unfair! That said, it is great to be able to get some money back for books that need to find a new home. I have several boxes of books listed on the app as being "en route". After 10 days, I consider this to be very slow. I'm hoping that the process will speed up soon and the amount offered will be in my bank account before long!”
