“Good way to get a bit back for surplus books even those some books if accepted are only 10p Processed and paid quickly Previous consignment was paid in full next day when I queried delay in delivery by courier firm.”

“I successfully completed a trade to sell books on Webuybooks and received payment quickly . Everything worked well . However it took quite a bit of time to go through the books I had to find ones that were accepted and to get up to the minimum value required .”

“Only fault I have it takes longer for me to receive the labels than being able to book for collection. Ie can only book 5 days in advance but takes 7-21 days to receive labels. I have to keep rebooking collection which gets confusing.”

“We Buy Books were fine and did what they said and paid the price they quoted. The problem is they use Evri as their courier who twice lied that they had tried to collect the books and in the end didn't turn up at all! We had to take the books to a drop-off point. Change your courier!”

“Not impressed - got £5.50 for 24 books and then used the opposition the following week and got £5.51 for 10! Website is a nightmare to use - doesn't recognise ISBN numbers which come up on other sites and if they don't want the book you have to manually go back to the insertion section.”

“This is a great service to use if you want to get rid of your books and know that they will be reused. It is not good value for money as books are bought at prices as low as 15p and then resold for many times that value on Amazon etc but it is very convenient if you can get together enough books to qualify for a courier pick up. So, if you need to get rid of some books conveniently and don’t mind getting lots of cash in return it’s a fair deal.”

“You off for a very low amount for books and then the delivery takes a long time for you to get your money had one delivery go missing and I’ve had to chase it all in all it takes about two weeks. I think I’ll use all the platforms to sell”

“Very fast service. It could have been better if the prices were higher to get more from our books. I have scheduled for pick up but nobody came to pick it up instead I need to deliver to Envri location point. Not very nice.”

“The scanning was very easy, thought the communication when the books arrived with yourselves could have been a little clearer ie said received but my thought was ‘and now what’ - did then get another email to say payment processed. Very straightforward. I don’t think the price paid for the books was fair (17p for hardbacks - hence 3 stars) but prevented them from going to landfill.”

“Very easy to use and upload books on the website although I was disappointed that so many good books were rejected and also rather disappointed at the low price offered for those accepted. However it was easy to send from my local pick up point and I was very pleased how quickly the money appeared in my account.”

“Very very fast process. I sold books to We Buy Books, Sell It Back, and Ziffit at the same time and WBB came out on top in terms of speed of processing and payment. It was easy to post and I got paid within a couple of days, whereas the other 2 took a couple of weeks. However their prices were a fair bit lower than the 2 competitors on a fairly substantial list of books, which is why I could only give it 3 stars. Would use again though, if the price was right and if I didn't want to wait an age for the money to come in.”

“Reasonably happy with Webuybooks, they offered better prices than competitors for some items. The app is OK but when scanning items it doesn't tell you how much you are being offered for it before entering it into the basket, meaning you have to keep switching between the scan screen and basket to see if the price offered is acceptable. The biggest issue I have is being forced to use Evri when sending items, necessitating driving past 5 post offices to get to a drop off point and then waiting an inordinate length of time for them to arrive.”

“The app was very easy to use and you get quotes clearly and immediately. The sending and payment process was far longer than advertised. Chaotic Evri collection of boxes (someone just shoving boxes into their car boot!)9, which then took days to arrive with WeBuyBooks, and then there was another delay of days while they were verified and payment received. Don't expect anything like next day payment or the process to be as quick as advertised, but it does the job.”
