“We Buy Books uses a dedicated courier firm, Evri - there are no Evri 'drop-off' points near me. Consequently, a considerable amount of petrol is required to drive 20 miles or so to deposit my books. Secondly, the purchase price offered by We Buy Books is very, very low. It will barely pay your travel expenses for depositing the books. Because there appears to be no competition for selling secondhand books, WBB can offer whatever they want; in this case, derisory prices. The books I sold were mostly academic texts; some of them were not easy to find. Perhaps WBB is more generous with novels - but I think this is unlikely...how many copies of the 'da Vinci Code' (or insert ubiquitous title of choice) do they need? In conclusion: donating the books to charity will be less hassle & you won't be losing out much financially, sadly.”

“It was a great service, and my books were collected the next day. Took a bit longer than I initially thought, as it mentioned online ‘3 days’ but it took 6 days from the books being collected to payment being received. That’s still fast. Probably me being impatient.”

“I am very happy with the service provided by We Buy Books. You have evolved a good collecting system, further improved by the engagement of a national (international?) carrier. The packaging instructions are concise, and I found a good use for shredded paper in providing ballast.”

“We decided to see how WEBUYBOOKS worked - the system is splendid however the price paid for major books is either nil or about 10% of what rear book buys pay. We will not be using the service again if WEBUYBOOKS don't value interesting and rear books. Francis”

“The criteria for what is accepted in terms of condition at We Buy Books must have changed recently. Hardly any are accepted that have barely any surface marks, they are rejected, but are playable and useable. By all means lower the offer price but more items must be accepted, alternatively just state mint condition only will be accepted.”
