“The service offered is second to none in my estimation, and I have used a similar service the the past. Being shielding in lockdown means I'm reading more and able to assemble more books to recycle for other readers through Webuybooks, and I really appreciate the use of the free courier service. I recommend this service without reservation, and gratefully thank Webuybooks.”

“A slick operation. I am not sure how competitive their prices are, but they were easy to use. Not a huge fan of their courier, Hermes, but I guess they have to keep their costs down.”

“first order took ages to complete as hermes failed to deliver one of the boxes. second order took ages as some of the items were missing having mistakenly been packed (by me, so my fault) into third order. third order took even longer to complete as hermes failed to deliver one of the boxes. as one of the boxes hadn't been delivered couldn't confirm items missing from second order had been received (wouldn't confirm what had been received with no reason given) so had to accept loss on offer two. not a great experience.”

Hello Mark, Thank you for leaving a review. We provide packaging guidelines with every offer created, this states that separate offers are to be packaged separately. If a package doesn't arrive with us, we can claim for the items in the offer, but unfortunately if items have been included that shouldn't be in that package, we cannot claim for them. The delay with the payment was waiting for the package to arrive so we could pay you in full for the items that were included in the incorrect box. Kind Regards WeBuyBooks

“I was very disappointed with this service. They are arbitrary on which books they select, offer peanuts for them (really low prices) and then took about 3 weeks to pay. They said they hadn't received the books, after a prompt, and promised to reimburse me immediately. This didn't happen, the following week the books 'had been delivered' but it took another week to get the money. The customer service was not brilliant, rather patronising, so sadly I won';t be using them again. I have a library of books to sort though so will have to send them to Oxfam or similar.”

Hello, Thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry to hear there was a delay receiving the payment. We want our customers to have a positive selling experience and to be paid as soon as possible but sometimes there are delays in the postal service. It was taking us a little longer to check items whilst adhering to social distancing rules but this will no longer be an issue as we have things in place to ensure the safety of our employees and to get the items checked as soon as possible for our customers. “I’ve been doing a big clear out and I’m really happy that I came across this! All my old A-level/GCSE and old novels lying around would have just gone to a charity shop and instead got just over £30 for it all 😅 Simple instructions and Hermes pick up, money was transferred to my account within days of boxes getting picked up. Have already recommended to friends and family, can’t wait to use again.”
