The books I sold to you were dealt with efficiently, but I have sent around four emails enquiring about a number of Dr. Doolittle titles that you told me the antiquarian section of Webuybooks were considering. You have totally ignored my emails over the last few weeks asking about the decision that this particular section of your Business is supposedly dealing with. An answer would have been both polite and useful. In this instant the Customer Service, I'm afraid has been non existent.

I have looked into this and can see multiple replies regarding your Antiquarian books, our team had asked for a complete list with publication dates, had passed it to the Antiquarian Team and had then sent a response regarding us not looking to buy them at the moment, we are sorry if you had not received the last email from us, we can seen we have had responses to our earlier emails we had sent. The books you had sent to us were exercise books that had the answers filled in, unfortunately if we were to sell these on, customers would not be happy to receive them, they would not be of any use to anyone. We state in the condition guidelines that we cannot buy books with the answers filled in, had the answers not been filled in, the amount quoted would have been paid. Kind Regards WeBuyBooks

On the 2nd September I was told my payment was being processed as yet I have still not received it and it is over a week .

Do not use this company. Donate to charity instead. They offer you next to nothing for books then are extremely picky about the condition and you have to pay for each book or DVD to be sent back. The profits they must make! Not worth the effort. Give to a good cause instead.

We are sorry to hear you were not happy with your selling experience, we offer prices based on the demand in the marketplace, unfortunately we cannot pay for items if they don't pass the condition guidelines as we buy them to find a second home and we pay the postage costs to receive them in agreement that they will pass the guidelines, we therefore don't also cover the return postage costs. As a seller, they are probably ok if customers can physically pick the books up. The books I ordered never arrived and Webuybooks took no interest at all in investigating, saying it wasn't their policy. Reading other reviews, you may get a good service with these people sometimes, but you're taking a significant risk. I recommend going elsewhere.

Books collected 31.07. Opted for payment by cheque. All books accepted for £58.83 payment. Notification on 7.08 payment had been processed 15.08 - cheque still not arrived. Waiting until 21.08 to see if cheque has been lost in Royal Mail systems as ‘We Buy Books’ won’t cancel the cheque and change to payment by bank transfer until 21.08. We Buy Books state the 10 day wait to see if the cheque is lost is advised by the Royal Mail. It’s a shame We Buy Books don’t care enough about their customers to do something before the 10 days to ensure payment is made promptly in every circumstance. To advise that payment by PayPal / bank transfer is a safer, better option is all well and good. It is certainly no consolation to customers who have opted for payment by cheque and have experienced problems. Only time will tell if payment is made without further hassle and inconvenience but it feels criminal that a company can treat their customers in this way.

Unfortunately with the current pandemic there can be disruptions in the mail service, which can cause delays in the delivery of Cheques, we offer payment via Paypal and Bank Transfer for quick next day payments for our customers, customer's details are encrypted to ensure it is safe to receive payments this way. Shocking service- calls answered by teenagers who generally don’t care. Still haven’t been paid 2 weeks after they sent me an email to say I had. Go elsewhere!

Despite receiving an email on 2 Jul stating that my payment has been processed, I have still not received my cheque on 19 Jul. Sent items to a competitor web site and received my cheque 2 days after they received them!

first order took ages to complete as hermes failed to deliver one of the boxes. second order took ages as some of the items were missing having mistakenly been packed (by me, so my fault) into third order. third order took even longer to complete as hermes failed to deliver one of the boxes. as one of the boxes hadn't been delivered couldn't confirm items missing from second order had been received (wouldn't confirm what had been received with no reason given) so had to accept loss on offer two. not a great experience.

Hello Mark, Thank you for leaving a review. We provide packaging guidelines with every offer created, this states that separate offers are to be packaged separately. If a package doesn't arrive with us, we can claim for the items in the offer, but unfortunately if items have been included that shouldn't be in that package, we cannot claim for them. Absolutely appalling service, do not whatever you do use this company to buy your books, I sent four boxes and they claimed not to have received 50 items! It took over a month and several chases for me to receive payment and then I was paid £60 short of the offer I received, absolutely dreadful service!!

I sold two lots of books to Webuybooks. The process was very straight forward but I have still not received my cheque payments and this is why I have scored them as Very Poor.

Great app and easy to use. Simple dispatch and pick up of parcel. Sadly amount due was reduced due to 'missing' dvd in a box set despite my checking all present and correct before sending. No point paying to have it returned. Just disappointing.
