About webuyanycar:

We're the UK's largest car buying service and have helped over 2 million customers to sell their car since 2006. Our simple three step process provides our customers with a quick, easy, safe and convenient way of selling their car. Free from the hassles of private sale and the inevitable haggle of part-exchange. But believe it or not, we do more than just buy cars.

With over 700 employees and over 500+ branches nationwide, we're a pretty big team and there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

What a waste of time. I entered the details and all the damage. They hold me the car was valued at £200. When I got there they said the car was worth £20. I went to a local scrap yard and got £400 pounds.

Poor customer service. No calling number to resolve issue or response to emails.

Waste of time and effort They give you a good value first but when you go to see them they will ask you a thousand questions and find any excuses to drop the price by far too much till the make your car really cheap so do not do buisness with them unless you are very desperate. They should be ashamed of what they do.

Found minor scratches snd said it would cost silly amount to make good.

Got a price at the beginning of the month 7 says later went to make appointment but had to enter my car again the car had dropped £700 in 8 days

They take advantage of people struggling..awful conmen..my car has been well looked after and wanted to knock £3000 off for a scratch that was no more than 3mml long..avoid like the plague

Do not stick to there valuation, even when it is guaranteed. They agreed car was exactly as described. Basically they lied.

I got offered 30% less than the online price because it had 500miles more, unfortunately it all seems like a process to exploit the desperate. I walked away and sold it through auto trader 24hrs later for £1000 More than what was originally offered I was told by the we buy any car agent it was owned by BCA British car auctions so it all started to make sense, everyone has to make money on what they are buying off of you, it is business and I understand that but if it was more honest in the beginning people like myself wouldn’t have to waste their time in going there to be then offered a ridiculously low price

Any transaction is usually a combination of value and customer service. This failed on both counts. Surly member of staff dealt with me outside in the rain, offered me well under half the online quote, was rude verging on hostile at my shocked response, and then said "do you want to sell or not?". "no" whereupon he turned his back without a word. Worst service I have had anywhere in ages. Greenock branch. Will be complaining directly, but sold the car for more this morning at a place which was polite. Your loss.

Hi Nina, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, we appreciate your comments. Please note, we would only ever reduce a valuation if a customer is outside of their 4 day Price Promise period, or if there are discrepancies between the information that a customer provided us with online and the vehicle itself. We’re sorry that on this occasion the final price offered failed to meet your expectations. This said; we offer a no-obligation service which means if the price we offer isn’t acceptable, you are never under any obligation to sell to us. Thanks, The WBAC Team
This company are con merchants send you offer after offer you agree on there offer then they rong you before you get there saying there offer has gone down nearly £4000 clowns

Service was great when I was there then after they forgot so much so then they was drilling my phone when I was at work and things when I said I would contact them when I got home!! Then when I asked to make a complaint they said I was rude for asking to stop ringing me while at work Then all I wanted was my finance to be paid off and that took so long too!

Online price went from £5660 to £4800 at Garforth branch to which I agreed. Signed the iPad without being showing any of the 'paperwork'. When I got paid the next day they had paid me £4171.62. Asked customer services who said i had signed it so didn't have a leg to stand on. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

Hi Paul, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, we appreciate your comments and I'm very sorry to hear this. We'd like to take a look into this for you. Please could you send an email to talktous@webuyanycar.com so we can look into this for you? Thanks, The WBAC Team
Simply not an ethical business and as such they cannot be trusted. I got an online quote which allows you to personalise as much as possible. This facility gives you the false impression the quote provided is fairly accurate. To my shock the rep reduced the price by approx £1,000. Reasons included a mark on the alloy wheel to being charged for an MOT even though the car had an MOT, unbelievable!! Don’t waste your time or money, sell privately or part exchange is a much better option.

Awulf company...Cons the customer and the colleagues whom buy. Cold working conditions..lunch brake if you are lucky. Management old school..bonus impossible unless you con the customer

This company cons and prays on the customer...after working for this dreadful company I had to resign. I could not work for a company that treats it's buyers like slaves and cons its customers

You cannot value a car on a computer and these people know this. You are far better off selling your car either privately or trading it in. Also when selling a car you are always at an advantage with them coming to you if selling privately.

Scam you are better off getting a trade in

We booked an appointment at 9.30am. At 9.24am we get a call saying your employee is running late. At 10.30 we are still waiting?! Your office can’t get hold of the employee either and your solution is for us to travel further away to go to a different branch? Can you not keep tabs on your employees? This is before we have even got to the actual process. It is terrible and unprofessional service. This was your Lye branch. Lies indeed!

Quoted £650 for our well maintained Honda civic coupe with twelve months MOT on line, and was happy with that price. Booked appointment at Burnley branch. WBAC representative was professional, polite and attentive and gave us an encouraging appraisal. However, once our details had been assessed we were offered £370 minus administration fees. Have just sold same car for £1900 on Ebay. Would not consider or recommend WBAC.
