I wanted to sell an old car and received a valuation online. The valuation started relatively low and then increased with persistent and continuous emails until the point I was ready to sell. I arranged the visit and agreed to sell the car. I guess you could say this process was successful for WBAC. However, despite being told that the car was in good condition, better than average with a good engine the ‘updated’ offer was less than a third of the original offer. The dealer shrugged and said that’s the best he can do and he was bonused on what he bought. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a car dealer is set up to behave in such an cliched unscrupulous way, probably more a kin to scammers on the Internet luring people in, only to try and exploit the desparate, weak and vulnerable by stealing their cars. What a sham.

**Review of We Buy Any Car: A Nightmare Selling Experience** I recently sold my car to We Buy Any Car, and I can honestly say it has been the worst experience I've ever had in a car sale. It’s now been six days since the sale, and I still haven’t received payment. To make matters worse, the company seems to be fabricating stories about me being a motor trader, claiming that this prevents them from completing the purchase. This is completely untrue and feels like a desperate attempt to justify their mishandling of the transaction. I’ve spoken to three different representatives, and each one has given me a different excuse for why they can’t process the payment or return my car. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with such a lack of communication and consistency. On top of that, no one seems to know where my car is. It’s as if it has vanished into thin air! I would not recommend We Buy Any Car to anyone. If you’re considering selling your vehicle, do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable option like Motorway or Carwow. My experience has been a complete nightmare, and I urge others to steer clear of this company. Save yourself the hassle and choose a platform that values transparency and customer service.

I wasted my time! I applied online and got one price for my car, but when I met the dealer he gave me a price more than 10 times lower when I was absolutely honest about the condition of the car online already. I don't understand either why a copy of my driving licence and V5C was taken before we agree about the sell? Additionally I was bothered few times by phone calls during my work from the dealer to "confirm that I am coming" when the appointment was booked during normal opening hours of the branch! Terrible experience and I will never recommend them!

We buy any car does a good job of luring you on on those ridiculous adverts. I certainly did not leave there singing or dancing. I was quoted £3800 for my car online (this was approximately £1200 below the cheapest make and model for my car on autotrader). I was prepared for this quote and understand the need for the middle man, who like to make a quick buck from doing nothing, to have their way. When I got to We buy any car, whilst initially looking positive, they took off £1000 for 2 new alloys and a small scratch. I knew I’d be silly to sell it to them so walked away. I was worried about selling privately but braved it and the process was so easy. I sold the car within a week for £5000. 🥳🥳 Do not go with WeBuyAnyCar!!!!!!

10 year old car, immaculate, low milage one owner, full service history, tyre bill everything. He examined every sheet of paper) - was I under investigation? The WBAC origional on -line quote was higher than dealer for trade in. I asked for appointment to confirm this, but was told it didn't work like that, they - buy on the day. Spoke on the phone, said if everything was as I said I would receive the full quote. I rearranged appointment to get a lift home. They already had MOT date, so all good. After inspection the offer was reduced by £700. They claimed scratches, stone marks on the bonnet, MOT due in 2 months, alloy wheels (2) marked. The so called scratches I rubbed off with a hanky, the 3 pin (so tiny) I had never noticed ! (They are going to reduced the price quote for this on every car if they quoted these on a 10 year car) the wheels I had no idea, but again, we are talking about a 10 year car. Which if I was buying, I wouldn't be bothered about. We are not talking dents. The extra mileage - come on, a couple of trips to the shops since I was asked. I felt very deceived - i lost hundreds by not going with the dealer, totally and knowingly, WBAC seeks to mis lead. Losing £700 on an older car is significant- couldnt understand how it could be so much. Sold it to the first garage I found- yes I got more, but not as much as the dealer offered. I just sold it quickly as I really felt scammed. WBAC even took my photo, because people claimed that someone else sold their car without their permission. More I think, they sold, then realised they could have got more elsewhere. From my experience if the trade in quote is near enough, just do that! Avoid the stress!

At my local depot everything was perfect, a small negotiation on the original price for some minor marks but that was obviously to be expected. It was 3 days later when I received a phone call from head office to say that they had made a mistake with the price and that they would be deducting £1000 from the payment and that if I didn't sign a new agreement then they simply wouldn't pay me attall. The dreadful lady who delivered the news on the phone is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with at one point telling me to shut up and listen. Given that it was a £21,000 payment, now reduced to £20,000 for no reason other than "THEY" had made a mistake I eventually signed the new agreement under duress. In my opinion this is fraud, they have basically stolen £1000 from me albeit that I did sign the new agreement but again I felt like I had a gun to my head. Not happy.

Price quoted on line £760, got knocked down for less then a months mot, minor scratches on car, said work would have to be on car? Admin fee £50, resulted in price of £299, due to time restrictions, reluctantly took offer, will pass this info onto others.

Total time wasters. They are unprofessional and don’t offer to pay you what they offer when they’re just trying to get you done to their location. They make you an offer to get you there and then just make you a stupid offer. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Absolute charlatans. Offered £1600 for a car, independently valued at £3100 the day before. Offered £2700 by Motorways. Utter disgrace. Dancing in adverts? Poor actors. Horrendous company.

My car was immaculate with new MOT. On inspection they knocked a further £610 off their rather low online valuation with no explanation. And forgot to mention the £100 admin fee. The worst possible way to sell a car.

I spent 65 minutes in my car with an employee. I was quoted online but when I arrived and after a thorough inspection, he said the price had dropped by £800 after speaking with his manager. He said the quote is dependant on other factors and yet he said my car was in pristine condition. He even asked if I had the car cover coated as it's in excellent condition. He left promptly when I didn't accept the sham of an offer. It felt as thought I was close to being conned.

Customer service is Non existent, There is no way of contacting them over the phone and emails just get ignored, This company really do operate on hidden Agendas, They give you an inflated online valuation, Then when you turn up they offer you less for your vehicle, They fail to do their due diligence/checks properly. You are not given the full details just A fairy tale version Which they leave out crucial information. Then they decline to go through with the sale With an excuse Saying there is an issue with the valuation and will offer you alot The day after you have signed your car away and leave you with No Money No Car And Nobody to talk to, Then they take your car away And when you ask for it back they make you wait weeks to return it, They drive it back from where ever it was taken and the V5 is no longer in your Name And your car has been devalued due to extra miles on the clock and now 2 MORE OWNERS ON V5. Your car is brought back stinking dirty, Damaged with no Fuel In It Weeks later and No Apology or offer to cover your loses AND YOU WILL HAVE LOST MONEY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS JUST HOW MUCH PROFIT THEY CAN MAKE OFF YOU. If you use this company to sell to, GOOD LUCK It will leave you feeling that you have been taken advantage of. Please look online for all the dodgy reviews and broken codes of practice. Just be aware nobody cares in the industry Either, CAB, Trading standards, motoring Ombudsman YOU WILL NOT GET ANYWHERE AND THEY KNOW IT AND EXPLOIT THIS FACT.

What con artists, gave an online value of £3000 knowing the condition of the car had no service history for years and a short mot. The price they offered when we took in the car was £2036 the main reason being short mot. What a waste of time, energy and fuel.

The Newcastle branches manager is a bully towards her staff (Cheryl). Multiple staff are unhappy but scared to say anything. My partner raised his complaint to her manager and she then got him fired by her "reviews" as his line manager - Making sure he failed his probation. She made him feel guilty for having D&V - forcing him to come in when unwell - risking spreading it to other vulnerable people. He was so nervous to contact her again for emergency leave that I had to go through a miscarriage in hospital on my own whilst he was at work because he feared to loose his job. Multiple episodes of abuse of power. We have now gone to ACAS due to this and multiple other instances. This woman is somehow protected by her higher management even though she is abusing her power and not fit for a managerial role.
