The price offered for our car was fair, and the process was very quick and easy to complete. However, I was ery unhappy that after agreeing to pay the £74.99 admin fee… we were then told that the company charge an additional fee of £25 in order to have a same day transfer of funds!… almost all bank transfers are instant these days at no extra cost …. This is clearly a way for WEBUYANYCAR to keep hold of customer’s money for an 4 extra working days! Unnecessary and a poor way to treat customers in my opinion x

Got what I considered a fair valuation for a 16 year old car with 120,000 miles on the clock, but ... Don't believe the valuation on the web site, that is for showroom condition and does not take into account the age of your car. All the cars are sold through an auction, so you are getting the auction price for your car, not the retail price. Body condition is everything and all they really seemed interested in. Money off for every stone chip, ding and scratch. Be realistic on what you expect to get. You are getting a hassle free service, on advertising costs, no people coming round to view (or not turning up), no test drives to worry about. This all comes at a price and so it hits the valuation. The guy who bought my car was very friendly and professional. Very COVID secure in fact didn't every touch the car, just asked me to open the bonnet, boot, doors etc. I didn't feel under any pressure to accept the offer, it was up to me to accept it or not. I just wanted rid of it, so was happy to accept. Overall satisfied, but I have only given three stars as I think the online valuation should reflect what could reasonably be expected for the age of the car. Why expect a 16 year old car to be in showroom condition?

We use exactly the same pricing system on our website as our buyers do in branch. Therefore if the condition/details of the car entered online matches our assessment of your car, then we offer a price which matches the online valuation. However if the details provided online are not accurate this will affect the final price offered.
Process was quite simple but disappointed at their attempt to knock off £500 for one or two minor stone chips on a 4 year old car......If the original valuation is only valid for 'showroom condition' car then they should say so up front

Knocked £1300 off original valuation which was disappointing but overall process was easy

I knew what to expect but I was quite surprised as to how much they deducted for various "issues". I was deducted £400 for chips on the alloys the didn't know the car had when they gave me an estimate, on the basis that they would have to be replaced. I eventually settled on a price roughly 10% below the estimate they gave me. They then deducted the next day payment fee which I did not request.

Very easy and hassle free to sell my car with WBAC. Staff efficient and friendly. Money transfer happened when they said it would. Only downside was the end price was half the quoted price. A very big reduction.

Money transfer on time but never as much as promised on original quote, this car was perfect but still you managed to knock me down.

Member of staff was great but the process very rigid in favour of WBAC.

Very smooth process- if you are prepared to take the price reduced on inspection. Price initially offered was well below recommended price but agreed to proceed. When they inspected car which was 10 year old, they reduced price based on 2 stone chips to bonnet and a scuff to 2 alloys. Apart from that car was in exceptional condition with less than half average mileage and only one owner before me. However, process was smooth, salesman was helpful and cash paid promptly.

Valuation quoted on line completley different to what was actually offered, bit of a con.

Speed of service. They tried to reduce price as much as possible and when he was checking car was quite secretive about the damage report

You quoted me a good price but when I got there you discounted on my service history which was full but you didn’t like the way it was presented so I was disappointed

Unable to complete at first as I had owned the car for 3.5months and was told it had to be 9months for money laundering! This was later adjusted to 4months as their help desk had misinformed the agent. Microscopic chips on the bonnet reduced price by around £1000 which was way over the top. However better price than a trade in so pretty happy.

Sales process handling efficient and all paperwork done quickly and money arrived on time. Price was reduced heavily despite me finding service history and the agent admitted was in good condition for its age

I sold my Range Rover for £25k after the online offer of £26,400. The vehicle was 8 years old so I was supprised at how critically they looked over the vehicle and found tiny scuffs that a detective would struggle to find! The second disapointment was they forgot to let DVLA know they had bought it and only when i didn't receive the road tax refund and followed it up two weeks later did they notify DVLA. (Ok, only £20 but still frustrating)

Very quick service and very convenient however; the price quoted was not accurate and, after a quick walk round, hundreds of pounds were taken off for inexplicable reasons (stone chips on the bonnet I believe but no quantification given…). Then the agent mis-paid the finance company which led to 4 weeks of *me* chasing their error!! I had several people call me to get money from me when in actual fact, they owed me money. When I spoke to the agent directly, he mugged me off and threatened to drop my car off on my drive! There is no one to speak to, just a black hole of a centralised email system (each reply saying it can take 3 or so days for a response!!). Worked out in the end and I have received all my money - not sure I’d do it again though…

Price offered about 250 less than internet even though long not full service history and accurate description

Smooth enough experience, far too harsh on stone chips and I was told the bonnet would be repainted so I lost money off the value. I know this is a blatant lie as no car dealer is going to want to have that expense, it will be touched up the same as when I bought it. Otherwise I was happy enough with the value although it dropped £840 on the day

sold my car at Peterborough branch on Friday 4-6-21 they took money of me so money transfer would be quicker next day. Told me it would be in account on Saturday at 0ne o'clock was waiting over five hours at car dealership for money transfer to buy new car could not contact anyone at branch no return calls or emails to what was going on. Been ringing every 15 min today Sunday still nothing and now had to give work up because cant travel loss payment from work and no car no lack of customer care disgraceful behaviour

Hi Andrew, thanks for your feedback. It sounds like you paid for our next working day payment and as such, we'd expect your payment to have been processed on the Monday as this was the next working day. This will have also been detailed on your signed invoice which you should have received a copy of via email. - The WBAC Team
