At Urban Cooling, we have been installing all types of air conditioning solutions into residential, commercial, retail and leisure premises for over 20 years.

We specialise in providing air conditioning to buildings which otherwise cannot have it. With our solutions, buildings such as apartments and listed buildings can have the same standard of air conditioning as conventional systems provide, without the need for an external unit.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – “Absolutely Transformative!” – Daniel Harper I recently had a water-cooled air conditioning system installed in my London apartment, and it’s honestly one of the best upgrades I’ve ever made. Being unable to have an external condenser, I thought real air conditioning was impossible until I found Urban Cooling. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. The team explained everything clearly, installation was tidy and efficient, and the unit itself looks incredibly sleek on the wall. Most importantly, it cools the flat perfectly and runs quietly. If you live in a building with restrictions and think AC isn’t an option, think again. This system is a game changer. Highly recommended.”

“I have a new build 2 bed apartment on the Kent coast where all of the large (2.5m high) windows are south facing which often results in interior temperatures of mid to high thirties centigrade even with blinds fitted. I initially starting researching water cooled air conditioning systems which led me to Urban Cooling and I then noticed their Incognito product which is designed for situations where there is outside space to emit interior heat. Luckily my property has a small balcony and the external wall mounted fan coil unit could be powder coated to match my windows/doors (RAL 7016 anthracite grey). I elected to have air conditioning in 3 rooms using the Urban Cooling Designer high wall mounted units which are Toshiba Haori Wi-Fi controllable models with interchangeable cloth covers to match your décor (the units come with light grey / dark grey covers out of the box and I had the latter fitted) with the internal compressor/condenser unit located in a utility cupboard. The unit doesn't need a cold water supply but needs access to a drain point for the condensate pumped each of the interior air conditioning units. I also needed to have a separate 20a circuit installed to my fuse board by an electrician which was arranged by Urban Cooling but the electrical installation was straightforward. My property has plasterboard and block work (dot and dab) walls so this required cutting / drilling 13 fairly large holes in the walls and ceiling, examples of which you can see in the attached photos. Once the system had been tested the installation team fixed the larger sections of plasterboard back in place using noggins (strips of timber for screw fixing). Unfortunately one section of double skinned plasterboard to the hallway ceiling had to be replaced by the decorator as it was too damaged to retain but this wasn't a major issue. I had the system installed in October so too late to get the cooling benefits but I know that this will make a major difference to the property. The internal compressor/condenser is not silent of course - I measured this at 53dBA next to the unit, but with the door closed to the utility cupboard it is not that noticeable and an acceptable trade-off. A useful side benefit because the system is a heat pump, is that I can also use it for space heating in the cooler months and it should heat up the room a lot faster than the installed under floor heating. I am very happy with the system but one suggestion I would make to Urban Cooling is to have the wall mounts for the external fan coil available in the same colour as the main unit as the white mount colour doesn't work well with dark colours (as a temporary solution I asked the installers to cut some small lengths of black insulation foam to cover the white wall mounts). The photos in the attached montage were taken during and immediately after the install but before redecorating and the larger photos were after redecorating using my own decorator.”

If I had known how reasonable heating and cooling 3 rooms would be I would have done it a long time ago, coupled with the professional, helpful service from Urban Cooling made this a really seamless process. “I am very pleased to write a review about Urban Cooling and my new air conditioning unit. The unit is very compact and works beautifully. It makes a huge difference to the temperature in my flat on hot days. In addition I was so impressed by the installation. It was very professional. Three people arrived and immediately started work. They were very polite and cleared up at the end leaving my home as they found it. All-in-all I can absolutely recommend Urban Cooling.”

“Unfortunately I can only leave a maximum of 5 stars. We have used the AC so much due to the heatwaves and can honestly say I have bought cars and electronics but these units are the best I have purchased. Installation was so easy, servicing so easy and the whole team behind the scenes are fantastic.”

“I live in a top floor flat and didn't think I could have air conditioning due to the constraints of the lease but seeing Urban Cooling did a internal watercooled unit I decided to take the plunge and thank god I did. With the heatwaves we had so far it's been total bliss. So much more comfortable and I can sleep. The staff and engineers were great throughout the process. I would highly recommend 👍”

“I'm very happy with the air conditioner installed in my bedroom, which is on the top floor of a building with south facing exposure. Very quiet, and doesn't use much energy. I would have installed more of them in other rooms if it were feasible. My only complaint is with Paul, who tried to convince me to rip up the ceiling in my home office -- a project that would have taken 5 days and caused massive damage -- in order to sell me another air conditioner that he had thought could be easily installed. I had to tell him no. He shouldn't have tried to pressure me.”
