“I have not received the product I ordered and have had no response to my email. Previously service has always been good so very disappointed this time.”

“The Quality of your tights is very good, But the availability is extremely poor you quote (10-to-20) days delivery I waited and then after the end of this period I ordered 3 pairs but received only 2 with 1 pair to follow. I later made another attempt to purchase another Three pairs the same story ( 10-to20) day wait this is unacceptable and annoying sorry but I am disappointed.”

Dear Dilys, we were so sorry to hear of your disappointment caused by the difficulty of ordering these tights you love so much. Bahner's support hosiery is high quality, specialist, medical grade wear which we order in from Germany. Being specialist, compared to other items, we sell a limited amount and therefore buy according to demand. However, it seems we've miscalculated here somehow, leaving you waiting and so my manager has put in a bumper order this time with extra stock so we can put some aside especially for you for future orders. “I checked the size guide and purchased the size Small tights. I am 5,1 tall so they should have fit perfectly. The tights barely go up to my hips, which is no good for tights for stomach control! Plus I can’t return them as I have opened the box and tried them on, so I now own stomach control tights that go nowhere near my stomach.”

Hi there. Now wait a minute, it's not true that you can't return them if they're opened and they don't fit but the size guide says they should have! You'd be entitled to a full refund or exchange in this case, no Qs asked :) At 5'1" they definitely should fit your height, so we just need to double-check your other measurements, as all of these balance out the overall measure of the tights on the body. Dear Customer, thank you for your feedback on this. I'm sincerely sorry for your disappointment with your purchase as we would always wish for you to be happy with any order. Please also note that we do show the product's volume of 10ml on the product page prior to purchase, as I don't wish you to feel you were duped in any way. I wasn't aware of Medi's product and have had a look to compare. I can understand your frustration, as on the surface theirs certainly seems better value for money. However, although they each have different volumes and prices, they are not the same brand. Ours (Staysput) has been endorsed by celebrities, Cosmopolitan magazine, support hosiery wearers, wig manufacturers and dancing companies. In addition, Medi's comes in a larger, plastic container for home use, whilst ours comes in a small, durable glass container the size of a lipstick/lipgloss, making it perfect for a night out or to take to work. “Disappointed this time..... I am having to return the tights....this is not about the service from Uk tights but the product....I am a 10/12 and bought medium and the waist was unbelievably small. I would value honest information about tights before buying them.”

Hi there, I can see in your order notes, that you have since spoken to my colleague Hannah and given her your measurements to double-check these tights. She confirmed that they are well within the parameters of the size you bought. I also understand that you didn't try the tights on but only took them out of the packet and thought they looked too small. In actuality, this is often the case with wool tights, as natural fibres are less uniform and 'scrunch up'. Once the tights are on, the full size is apparent. We would have been happy to refund your order if they didn't fit, but as they're already on their way back, we can still refund them or offer an alternative - whichever you prefer. “I was excited to buy some tights that would fit but the quality of the tights did not reach my expectations - Aristoc 200 Denier Luxury Soft Opaque Tights - did not feel 200 denier thickness and one day of wearing saw holes at the toe appear - I ended up wearing socks underneath to improve thickness and warmth. Levante Wool Rib Tights - Similar to the Aristoc - felt quite thin in quality so was a bit of a shame. The ordering and despatch of the tights were both positive experiences.”

“The tights I ordered were for 11-13. Unfortunately they were considerably too small for my just turned 11 daughter, who is average size in her year. I can't imagine they fit any 13 year old! Of course I can't return them because she has tried them on. I see now that the 11-13 is supposed to be 152cm - most 10 year olds are that height already. I didn't notice that when I ordered. No problem with the company or delivery, just the tight sizing!”

Dear Anna, I'm very sorry to hear that these tights didn't fit your daughter. I think you're right that Silky's sizing is off here, after having checked the national average height for school-aged girls. However, these tights should still have fitted your 11 year old daughter if she was around the national average. As you say they were stated to fit up to 152cm and according to current statistics, the averages for girls are: 10 years = 143.3cm, 11 years = 149.2cm, 12 years = 155.3cm, 13 years = 160.8cm. This measurement of '152cm' was also stated on the size button that you had to click before adding the product to your basket. As the information regarding the size fitting up to age 13 is incorrect, we will contact the supplier to ask them to amend this as soon as possible. Many thanks for your feedback. Dear Bukelwa, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with 2 of your 4 items. Do please return the tights which tore on the 1st wear, as we would class this as a fault and will be happy to offer a replacement, alternative or refund. Regarding the item which you say was the wrong colour, this would be very unusual as all of our products' barcodes are scanned out at dispatch to ensure they are the correct product. “My finger poked through the top band of the first hold up I put on. Though I was being careful and gentle, it happened putting on the second stocking too! They are still wearable but not very attractive anymore with holes through the top.”

Dear Aileen, unfortunately, these are not toeless tights. As it says on the website, these are sandal toe tights which is something different. Sandal toe means that the material over the toe area is either a lighter shading or sheerer in order that it becomes less noticeable and the tights can be worn with sandals/open toed/peep toe shoes. I hope this explains!

“Service was great and was really impressed with the tights initially but they laddered within seconds of putting them on. Such a shame as fit and colour were perfect but too expensive for a pair that ladders so quickly!”
