Dear Diane, I'm very sorry indeed for any concern caused regarding your delivery. As your parcel was collected on the 2nd and sent via our free 2-4 days delivery, it is 1 day late as of today. Please accept our apologies for this, as we and our delivery partner always aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible. I agree that the tracking update is confusing since it says that delivery was attempted. Unfortunately, "delivery attempted" can be used when a physical attempt is made, or if the delivery driver has run out of time on their route that day. The recent considerable snowfall across the country, and backlog after the bank holiday (on New Year's Day) may account for the delay on this occasion. The tracking suggests that they will try again tomorrow. Please be assured that there will be up to 5 delivery attempts before the parcel is returned to sender, and they will endeavour to deliver as quickly as possible. In the case of a late delivery, we would usually offer to refund your postage charge as a gesture of goodwill. We are unable to do so on this occasion, as your postage was already discounted, but we'll send you a direct message with an alternative discount. Thank you for your kind patience, and we hope that you love your new items when they arrive.

“Excellent service as usual, keeping my usual order on hand until the Charnos tights I wanted came into stock again. The tights are a good fit and sizing this year is better than some previous years (I know that Charnos vary the physical manufacturer of their tights from year to year). I like to order the same tights every year. The only surprise this year was that the courier who handled the delivery was Amazon Shipping Limited and in their emails to me they referred to my "package from Web Orders Direct Limited". I did not guess that this meant my UK Tights order, as the UK Tights 'order-despatched' email did not mention Amazon Shipping and likewise the Amazon Shipping delivery emails did not mention UK Tights. Please UK Tights will you mention what courier you are using so that I don't wonder if there is some kind of scam order being delivered to me! As a rule, I deliberately go to specialist online shops if I can. I rarely use Amazon because they have a big enough share of the online market as it is and sometimes things I ordered have travelled all the way from a supplier in Europe, rather than UK. Trade with Europe has been slower since Brexit (not my choice!)”
