About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

I selected U Drive Cover from other options available even though they weren't the most budget-friendly option, primarily because their online payment option seemed convenient for immediate coverage. However, my experience was far from smooth. Despite making my payment online, I received an email instructing me to call them to activate my cover. This was followed by numerous hours spent on the phone, only to be informed that activating my cover would incur a £75 charge. Moreover, obtaining a refund would take up to 30 days. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to believe that the company is not trustworthy. I would strongly advise considering other options.

Shaun is a member that speaks very rudely to his customers. No people skills whatsoever. It was unfortunate that I had him pick up my call as he is utterly rude and needs to be sanctioned for his lack of care and understanding of customers.

This is the worst company I have every had encounterred in my life they want everything apart from my Blood Group just to cover car insurance. Customer service is non existant they dont talk they shout and dont listen. Im not exactly computer savvy - why the hell do they need my NI number I am 70 and retired are they selling it to an asylum seeker ??? I dont give that information out.

Emailed ,to inform I was getting a different car wanted the insurance to start next day. I did inform the caller I was in turkey,after 11 minutes on the phone and repeatedly saying it was a bad line he sayed needed payment,sat at pool with no card what a waste of time

One star and that is very very unbelievably generous. The significant word that comes to mind is DREADFUL beyond belief. I have never had an insurance company demand so much information to take out car insurance and be so rude and detached in their communications.

They refused to send me official quote documents and then said they had done all their checks then once set up they sent in a large email the tiniest section asking for statements and utility bills and so much which is obscured for insurance so this company is a really scammy company do not truest them they only got my business as I was desperate but I hate scummy company's like this one and they should be ashamed of themselves

I have been loyal to your company for 6 years. 6 years ncb bo accidents etc and my premium has tripled. Due to high fraud and that you want to claw money back. Absolutely disgusting and the tone of the advisor changed as well when I challenged her broken robot speech and didn't even offertory find a cheaper insurance

Sent the company all the documents that are required twice and still had a call saying that I wasn’t happy with a utility bill that I just run out. Absolutely ridiculous. Had to go to the bank and get a copy of my bank statement and get it stamped, never use this insurance company again, too much hassle. and very pricey !!!

I, like many other people, have been scammed by this company. They appear on moneysupermarket, go compare etc as an insurance provider offering a quote, take your money for the insurance, and then start calling you asking for more and more information. 3 days later they said they “couldn’t get cover with the original provider” but “could get a quote for £140 more”. I asked to cancel and they said there’s a £75 cancellation fee, but the policy was a) not due to start until the 17/8 and b) was within 14 day cooling off period. They’ve refused to give the £75 back and said it can take “up to 30 days” To give me the rest back, almost £500 that I need to get cover elsewhere. I feel so shaken and upset, I’m a new mum and on statuatory benefits and £500 taken with no insurance.

Absolutely shocking, I advice everyone to be carefull, they charged me £178 for just spelling my email wrong, I been told to be careful with this company and now I know why , they are a scamers 100%

Should be no stars. Took £75 from me . Found cheaper insurance. Cancelled policy within 5 mins. Still took £75!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BE WARNED. ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

Had to change registration immediately after policy began - charged £50 admin fee! Disgusting! Only gave 1 star because there wasn’t a zero!

Absolutely shocking. The amount of info requested after you take out the policy is really high. Also they want additional info in the small print then call 3 days before the policy is due to start to say you have to pay additional £500 premium because they have now searched back 5 years and found something - not 3 years like on the quotation site - and this extra time is all in the very small print on their website so all your fault. Or you can cancel for £75. Absolute criminals. They should not be allowed to operate. Worth paying £75 to escape from these misery inducing charlatans.

If i could score no stars i would. Customer service has been absolutely appalling from the first instance. I paid in full and then told i had to pass some validation checks never heard of these before. And due to moving home 3weeks prior the quote went up by double they neglected to inform me of this untill the day my policy was due to start which meant i was not covered on my commute to work luckily i did not have any accidents. After reducing the quote still left me with more to pay and then told my policy wouldnt start untill midnight (i was at work 15miles from home). They then agreed to cover me to drive home between 5pm -7pm but i wasnt covered if i had an accident what is the cover then? Allowing me to drive my own vehicle at my risk???? I own it i can do that without permission from them. Finally got told i was cover between 5pm-7pm even if i had an accident still very confused how this works. Was told id recieve a cover note nothing appears so call them again 45mins later told there was issues with emails and i was insured and there call centre was open should i have problems on route home ( not filled with confidence) customer service absolutely shocking. Requested a copy of complaints procedure which i still havent recieved. Dont purchase avoid at all costs im regretting my decision.
