About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

“After renewing a policy new, then having to change car 2 months in, NO refund was refunded.Had to take out a brand new policy to insure new car. Absolutley disgusting cash grab. The SECOND this new policy is up? Guess who im insuring new policy with??? Not these fucktards”

“Very bad experience wasn't informed from the start that they was a broker not the insurance, I paid 360.00 as my first payment to be told I then they was only a broker and will finalise my insurance the day after. Then after setting up fully I got told the company wanted copies of my licence not a problem but after finding out that I couldn't prove the no claims as it was on my ex partner account they won't confirm with me and as my ex is on rules from the police he can't be in any contact with me as he threatened my life with either being stabbed or he would set my home in fire with me in it. They wouldn't understand and told me that my insurerance would go up by almost 2500. So in the end I payed 360.00 and my for at months payment to be told that I either pay another 450.00 deposit they would cancel my insurance, not the info I needed and they wasn't very helpful just wanted their extra money which left me a new single mother who's almost 600. 00 out of pocket and having to re sort out insurance which is majorly need to actually do my care work to feed my children I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company unless u have money to throw away I learned the hard way”

“They are broker preying on small prints T&C. Why on Earth charging 75 pounds for cancellation during the first 14 days and before the start of cover!. Why the insurer Sabre is saying in IPI that it covers driving another car while not mentioned in the insurance certificate. When you get the policy booklet suggests it provides cover selectively and you check your insurance certificate!!. If they subtly mislead customers that way, they are not trustworthy. Now I am waiting for the truncated refund since 27.8.24 and nothing is paid yet. To my horror, the email said it can take up to 30 days for refund….what… why…”

“Tried to sign up through them today via comparethemarket, I was quoted £1500 per year at ppm cost. I accidentally put the car buy date as the 6th when I meant to put 06/09/2024. They got back to me via a phone call to 'verify my details' and said their insurer wants to cancel me because they think I'm committing fraud, and offered me a second option of £2500. They said no other company will offer me much less than that because my 'insurance rating is at 40%' which I've never heard of. He then went away after I'd got a bit high rate on the phone to see what he could work out, he came back and told me there was a one day only deal for me at £1700 a year and that works out at £217 a month because I've already paid my deposit... which anyone with half a brain knows is not £1700 a year. When I called him on that he then started saying all these different things I'd be paying for that made it that much. I asked for a refund on my deposit and would go elsewhere because I'd seen many other offers at £1500. He told me he would speak to his company director and get me a better offer but I told him to send my money back. I've gone with my second option, £1500 a month no extra calls no fraud sounding bs to get me to fork out another £1000 per year. This company are pure scammers avoid at all cost.”

“If I could give no stars it would still be too much. Whilst I was pleased with the original quoted price for insurance and paid in full, what happened after just went on and on. Firstly a request for license details, confirmation of NCB etc. Then a request to contact DVLA to verify license details and finally a request that I arrange with my previous insurers for them to speak with Udrive to confirm the NCB. At this stage I’d lost the will to live and decided to cancel. At the point of cancellation I’d had insurance for just over 1 month, however they would only refund 50% of the premium. Absolute ripoff merchants best avoided.”

“I would like to share my experience with this insurance company. Initially, they offer a seemingly good price and take an upfront payment. However, they later create issues by claiming things like "we spoke to your previous insurers and found you at fault in past accidents" or "you didn't provide the exact date of your driving license." They then pressure you to pay additional charges, effectively forcing you either to cancel the policy or pay the extra amount, both of which benefit the insurance company. This practice is truly shameful.”

“**Stay Well Clear of This Car Insurance!** I strongly advise anyone considering this car insurance provider to steer well clear. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their customer service is abysmal—unhelpful representatives, and a complete lack of communication. To make matters worse, the premiums are far from competitive, and they seem to find every possible way to increase costs. Hidden fees, sudden premium hikes, and vague explanations have left me feeling cheated and angry. Even when I tried to cancel, I was met with resistance and further complications. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs. There are far better options out there that offer real value for money and proper customer support. This has been the worst insurance experience I've ever had.”

“Awful company, squeezing money out of you again and again, got pulled over by police as it wasn't showing up on the database, upping my premium a few days after purchasing and then hitting me with another fee, if I could get my deposit and this months payment back I would cancel and go elsewhere.”
