About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

“No problem with Representatives but this company is one to avoid. Fortunately, I've not had to make a claim but the stressful processes and nonsensical chasers doesn't fill one with confidence. You may need to pay a little more with a competitor but my advice would be to do so. God forbid you have to make small amendments .... they'll charge you top fees !!”

“Incompetent insurer. Told me that it’s illegal to have two policies on the same car. Also have no idea how Motability insurance and then mask over their own failings”

“Absoloutely disgraceful cuasing me stress. They charge me over £3000 for comprehensive and the day my insurance starts they sent me an email saying it is third party only insurance causing me more stress.”

“I had to provide a driving licence check code as part of motor insurance renewal but when I forwarded it I was told the code was not valid. Which means your systems don't work adequately . A very basic issue that shouldn't happen and results in a very poor customer experience”

“Poor customer service, very expensive, the price was clear when I got the quote after ringing up extra charges where added and the price per month went up, would not recommend and would never use again.”

“I applied online, was quoted £900, accepted, and paid. Simple enough — or so I thought. Instead, I was dragged into a long, confusing phone call with a representative I could barely understand, despite the fact I’d already paid. Then, later that same evening, I got another call telling me the price had suddenly jumped to £2,000. Nothing had changed in my details. Nothing. Yet somehow the cost more than doubled after they’d already taken my money. This feels like a classic bait‑and‑switch tactic. Completely unprofessional, misleading, and a warning sign to anyone considering using them. If this is how they treat paying customers, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere.”

“Would not even give them one star. Spoke with someone a couple of days ago as was getting a new car. They quoted another £200, although had already paid a full years insurance, there was three months left of my insurance that was paid in full. when I queried this I get attitude from the call handler. Decided to go to a reputable insurer to insure new car. phoned to cancel the years insurance that was paid in full they took another £50 off of me.”

“Keep adding extra costs. You get charged if the information you enter is not spot on. Never had this with any previous insurer. Any excuse to add extra charges. Not a good company.”

“The worst insurance company ever. I regret leaving my previous company for them. After you've made payment, I had to be the one to chase them on phone for 3 consecutive days before I got my documents. Then they started bringing up all sorts and forced me to make extra payments than agreed, knowing fully well that if I cancel, it will affect my premium with any other insurance.”

“experience with this insurance company. It's unfortunate when companies don’t deliver on what they promise, especially when it comes to something as important as insurance. Unfortunately, there are scams out there that can make it tough to navigate, and companies like that can leave people feeling cheated. If you're comfortable sharing, what was the name of the company?
